A lovely little station, getting from the platforms for the Great Western line to the platform for the Looe Valley branch can be a little confusing, but it's a lovely station, with a really pretty old style aesthetic. It's got shelter from the harsher elements as well.
Machine does not accept card, only coins. This car park uses a parking app used by no other car park so you have to download a new app and register your payment card with yet another company. You're also supposed to be able to pay up the hill at the station ticket office but while the ticket office was supposedly open there was no one actually in it to pay for the parking or train tickets. If you're going to Looe be aware the platform's by the car park which is down the hill from the main station and also the ticket machines won't sell you train tickets to Looe so if there's no one there to help you you'll be running up and down the hill pointlessly. I advise getting the train ticket online before you come and making sure you have £4 in coins to save yourself unnecessary stress. We were there with what should have been plenty of time so it really shouldn't have been stressful. The app does seem to be £1 cheaper than paying by coins however. So there's that.
Liskeard railway station easy way to go to Looe regular train's till late evening easy walk to town no hassles £4 parking all day parking in Looe thin on the ground this is a no brainer way to get there only thing is pay by card at carpark machine need reg number as well .train fare ticket online or on train or station
Great place to park when going on the train good price too
Use this line a lot when in Looe..shame last train is 7.20...also needed the loo was going to use the pub only to find it had shut down. Some loos would be good please especially as we'd travelled from st Ives
Small car park adjacent to the Looe branch platform which is a quick 1 min walk from Liskeard mainline railway Station. The branch is a picturesque single track line with request stops on the way. Check out Coombe Junction halt, a rarely used station can be accessed with a 10 min walk from here. GWR operate the service from here.
Small station. Good parking. Well priced. If you need the Looe line you'll have to walk around minutes if that through to the otherside of the car park. Much better than braving the dreaded parking in Looe!
Clean tidy rea to wait for the Looe train
There are no ticket facilities but don't worry you can get tickets on the train. Whatever you do, do not use the help line. Everyone hears everything you say.
