Not uncommon to wait well over half an hour for someone to pick a prescription. It's quicker to drive in to Livi and pick up.

I have had several unpleasant experiences in this chemist which is why I never use them. However, we had a situation today whereby I needed medication urgently for my grandson ('urgent' at the doctor's request). I was advised it would take 20 minutes and when I asked if there was any way it could be sooner and explained why, the person behind the counter literally laughed in my face, told me I was in a queue and they were run off their feet! I was so embarrassed I wished the ground would have opened up and swallowed me. We retrieved the prescription and took it to Morrison Pharmacy where the very pleasant young lady said it would be 10 minutes - it took 12 and I was on my way. I'm not the only one who avoids the East Calder branch - it has an extremely bad reputation which is well deserved. This situation could have been handled better. All she had to say was 'Sorry but we're really busy today' and that would have been quite acceptable. The person involved should bear in mind that it's they paying public (me) who keep her in a job!

They have always seamed nice, used to get my mum medicine from here. They also delivered to help her out. Staff seam pleasant and it normally takes 15-20 mins to get what every you need.
