Linda's Pantry is by far the best place I have found in Manchester. The food is delicious, handmade, genuine and traditional. I had the best lamb with mash ever, and the English breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. If you have the chance, don't miss the cakes of the day, with a good cup of tea, as well! Carrot cake, Victoria sponge... simply e-p-i-c. Portions are amazingly rich, at the lowest prices I have seen in UK full breakfast for 5£ or so, lamb and mash for 3.95£.... The staff is lovely, informal, jovial and friendly. The service is quick, and the place is domestic but very clean. Linda told me that they are probably going to close in a year or so... this is a great loss for Manchester, and for traditional English cuisine as well. So, if you have the opportunity now, definitely give it a try, without hesitation!
Awesome breakfast takeouts. The staff are a joy to listen/chat to. I sometimes grab an egg and bacon butty on my way to work and I've never been disappointed. Generous amounts of thick sliced bacon. I have also sat in for lunch and the steak canadian was nice. Homemade chips like your grandma used to make! Reasonable prices too. Recommended.
Amazing little cafe, the food ia so delicious and home made, the staff are friendly. My "must go" lunch place every time i come to Manchester. Chicken and Bacon melt, with some chips and gravy costs around £5, never disappointed.
Brilliant little cafe in the Northern Quarter. Huge selection of reasonably priced freshly prepared dishes plus absolutely wonderful home-made cakes. If you like good cafe grub it's a 'must visit'.
Excellent cafe food at great prices. If you want a proper fry-up or a tasty pie and mash for lunch/sandwiches etc, can't beat this place :
if carlsberg did cafes... This would be it!! The best cafe in town, and one of the most reasonable price wise... Pretty much all the food is homemade and the lasange is to die for!! I live over the road and have my breakfast from lindas 4-5 days a week!!
I love this place. It's all I look for in a Cafe. Friendly, good food, good portions and reasonably priced. I go there every opportunity I can.
Can't believe this place will be closing down and not incorporated into the proposed development. C'mon this place is legendary and a piece of cultural and local social heritage. Can't just one small quality Establishment be saved?
The perfect greasy spoon. Forced out by "regeneration". I was hoping this would become my new favourite Manchester greasy. Doors close 30th June 2018
They do a Fantastic Breakfast. I will definitely go there again when I visit Manchester in the near future.
