Since the Self Service tills opened in North Walsham the queues have gotten so bad. We normally spend £100-£140 per week but today we could not even find a parking space. Presumably because the turnaround rate of customers is not as fast due to queuing for longer and parking spaces take longer to become available. I was always impressed with Lidl, opening tills when a small queue arose, getting people through as quick as possible. Now they shut tills even when long queues are half way up the aisle. Now I’m put off, I ended up going to Waitrose instead.nSelf service is great if you want to buy a small amount but not so for full trolley weekly shop.nI was kinda looking forward to getting my Christmas food shopping from Lidl this year but if it’s bad now what will it be like a few days from Christmas.nShame
Today was an absolute nightmare, only 2 tills open. Member of staff near the self checkouts which was also queued. We waited about 25 minutes in que as we had a weekly shop trolley full. While I recognise the value of a self checkout service it shouldn't be at the detriment of other shoppers. The staff ,all 4 of them looked frazzled.Also the car parking time is 90mins we were in there about 70 never been that long before Absolute chaos.
Brilliant store! Self serve tills much quicker and I had a lovely conversation with the store manager, think his name was Ray? Very helpful and informative.
Love Lidl. Made up we found one here as we're staying here for a few days and it's our go to Supermarket at Home. Plenty of choice. Prices to suit every pocket. Recommend you give it a try.
Hi. I was at the North Walsham store trying to purchase some cold meats and red wine. We were waiting for 10 minutes in a queue to get to the till. There were only 2 tills open at 1725. We needed to catch a bus so had to put the shopping back and purchase wine elsewhere. Very disappointed. Not had this experience before with Lidl. I was there a couple of days ago and the minute there was a queue another till was opened. Why this didn’t happen today, Friday 19 September, I don’t understand.
