Probably the best Lidl within London zones 1 and 2. Quite large with great location near Warren St and Euston Square tubes. Has a much bigger ‘Middle of Lidl’ selection than other branches. Only downside is that recently it has got much busier in peak times - the queue for the tills sometimes snakes around the whole store.
Joke of a store. Zero customer service, tills not on as they didnt have enough staff. 20 minute queue to pay for one sandwich. 3 Staff on at the self service checkout. one of them the was on her phone. Spoke to the manager and got a pretty poor response, to be honest she was rude. Obviously you need more staff on or reallocate staff at peak times. Not suggest to the customer perhaps they would like to get a job here!
We were staying at an Airbnb in London. This lovely store was within easy walking distance. We went every day to get food and snacks. Wonderful selection of meat, produce. Our favorite part was the bakery there. Fresh croissants for breakfast every day! They are very prompt with restocking as well. Great choice for groceries!
Till charged £1.50 for bags we didn't use or scan. Looked at other receipts and other customers were paying the same but not checking their receipts. Asked for a refund, the self checkout lady tried to help us out at the tills, but the till staff and shift manager asked us to wait in a queue for a single till that looked like it would take 15 to 20 minutes to get the refund. The lady at that till also told the self checkout staff member that she doesn't know how to do refunds so asked that we be served by someone else but that also fell on deaf ears with the shift manager who insisted she knew how to do them. Also flagged that I found other people were being charged for the bags when looking through the receipts to find ours but nobody seemed interested in addressing it. We left without our refund.
This Lidl is kinda strangely curled around a pure gym. Because of that it’s way bigger inside than you might expect.

Didn't realise Lidl was still benefitting from cruel greed-driven intensive chicken factory farming. PLEASE Lidl - step out of your comfort zone and commit to, and adopt, the Better Chicken Commitment - for ALL the chickens sold in your stores. Do you want to be the last supermarket chain to do this ? Not a great accolade.
Good selection of items and as always great pricing. However, everytime that I have been here now I just cannot understand the point of the self checkouts. What’s the point of having a self checkout when almost everyone who goes up to a till will have to have an assistant come and help you? There’s never enough staff to open all of the tills either so it almost always holds up a long line.
The old lady with short grey hair at the self checkouts accused me of stealing and made a scene shouting for me half way across the shop. When I showed her the receipt I didn't get an apology at all.
This store needs some work. The checkout area is absolute chaos and full of discarded receipts on the floor. It's not uncommon after work for there to be a queue, 30 people deep waiting to use the self-service checkouts. While Lidl is cheap, I do not enjoy shopping at this particular Lidl store.
