Great quality foods and great prices. Their own brands are just as good as other stores brands or named brands. Also great stock and friendly staff. Although it is very busy in any Lidl you go to it is well worth it. I save at least 40% compared to Sainsbury on my weekly shop. They may not carry some things but that is not a reason to not shop with them. Wish I had started going to them sooner!

Its a supermarket. Generally has all the stuff you want, though you may end up with own brand. If you want 17 varieties of humus look elsewhere. Wine can be very good, as is the German lager. They do weekly offers which are stock limited, if you are not there in time you miss out. Car parking for this store is ok - just watch for the people ignoring the no entry sign because they can't be bothered to queue for the exit. Staff are friendly, but there is often a queue for checkout.

This is one of the super updated Lidl shops. There are 2 Lidl's in Basingstoke - we must like our Lidls :-) The shop is of medium sized but it was completely refurbished about 6 months ago. It has a bakery and 3 large sections for chilled foods. This branch is known to have very slow till operations, some factor of shop size and staff ratio rather than volume of shoppers in the store.

Convenient. Unique items. I always leave with atleast 10 more things that I didn't actually go in there to buy. Just customer service that let's them down a bit

Nice and varied food options at very reasonable prices. Household items available too. Only quibble is that the veg doesn't have a sell or use by date on
