Excellent store. Lots of choice, good fresh produce and bargains.
Good range of products at affordable prices. The Anchorshome store is close to a tram stop so is easily accessible by public transport.
Great supermarket — I shop here regularly.nThey always have fresh fruit and veg, a good bakery section, and all the essentials. However, I had a disappointing experience recently when I came in to buy a bottle of wine. Despite being 27 years old, I was refused service, and the manager backed this decision without properly reviewing my ID. I even had my car keys on me and had just come from work, but they didn’t take the time to genuinely assess my proof of age.nnStrangely, my partner — who is the same age — went in right after and was not challenged at all.nnThat said, this is still a good supermarket overall, and I’ll continue shopping here. I just hope staff will be more consistent and respectful in future ID checks.
Plenty of choice, has a bakery in store. Can sometimes get congested at the checkout. Edit - recent refurbishment March 17, makes for more refrigeration, bigger fresh produce section, more conservative colour scheme.
This is the worst branch of Lidl that I have ever used and I certainly will not use it again. They allow queues at tills to get far too long before they bother to open a new till as they should do. What makes this worse is that they do not have any self-service tills or small number of items checkouts. This means joining a long queue even with a few items. This is a regular occurrence in this branch. Fortunately there are much better branches in the area.
