The Lidl in Edgware, located at 51-55 High Street, has mixed reviews from customers. Many shoppers appreciate the store for its affordability and wide range of products, including groceries, household items, and fresh produce. The store is open from 7 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 11 AM to 5 PM on Sundays, making it convenient for a variety of shopping schedules.nnHowever, some customers have noted issues such as stock shortages on essential items like milk, eggs, and bread, as well as problems with the car park, which is said to have numerous potholes. Additionally, the preference for self-service tills over staffed checkouts has been mentioned as a point of inconvenience for some shoppers.nnOverall, while Lidl Edgware is valued for its competitive prices and diverse product range, improvements in inventory management and customer service could enhance the shopping experience. If you're looking for an affordable supermarket with a good variety of products, it can be a good choice, but be prepared for potential inconveniences.
I see why Lidl prides themselves on having the best prices around. What they carry in stock is generally the best prices you could find anywhere else.nnTheir baked goods are very good and reasonably priced. I was actually impressed at how good they were for what they charged. Selections on certain items are extremely limited.nnMy only gripe with this store is how long the checkout queues are, it is mind boggling that it takes so long to checkout, especially when you only have a couple of items to buy.
THIS LIDL IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO SHOP AT!nnI frequent this store fairly often and in the evening yesterday as I normally do everyday and as per usual there is NO SECURITY. I had seen a theif loading himself from head to toe in expensive chocolate bar's walk out. Another customer claims they were welding a knife and brandishing it as they went around the store.nThe manager on duty at the time did an incredible job of trying to get the shoplifting maniac to leave however I post this today to make shopper's like myself aware of the dangers by going to this Lidl.nnLike alot of companies it seems Lidl is cutting down on pennies it takes to hire a security officer. Someone who has the power to stop and search anyone they deem has a soon to be stolen item on their person. It is the most heinous act that the higher management of Lidl expect the colleagues of the store to take action when it's not their job's to.nnTo say I am unsatisfied is an understatement. I am disgusted with how they are running this store in terms of this, putting not only their colleagues but their customers at risk too.nnThis is also a everyday occurrence at this Lidl. Maybe not with a knife welding loon but certainly with a shoplifter or two, possibly three coming in everyday to cause commotion, crime and undue stress for the customers and colleagues of this store.nnIt is clear to see it is getting increasingly more dangerous to shop at this Lidl if change isn't made and at the very least security is not put in place.nnI will be taking this further by contacting their HR or CS department's in the not so distant future as I implore anybody to do who cares for this store and cares for their own safety while shopping here.
Well stocked shop on a Monday morning. Just as always a very busy and small car park. Don’t forget to scan your ticket and tap in your number plate, as you leave the shop.
The store is excellent and the staff are helpful and polite. It's OK for parking, but I found the location not the best.
