Nice from the outside - the clean-up and route into the city are a big improvement over the old subway. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are well-maintained. However, the station platforms and staircases do not seem to be sufficient to deal with the volume of passengers. Also, all trains are diesel, which isn't great.
Leicester station is a station i always encounter on my journeys, either passing through or getting a connecting train here. A very busy station with lots of passengers hopping on/off all train routes. I love going up the stairs, even when i don’t need to, to have a good view of the city. I love the building with the colourful windows, which i now believe to be st george’s tower! Absolutely amazing transport links from the midlands to various stops across the country.
The station it's self was clean and tidy no problems even toilets were clean.nThere was one little minor fault. The lift was out of order which made a bit difficult for a person with walking stick.
Lovely Leicester , and its architecture, culture , history, diversity, and foods. Its a beauty of a city.
Used to have no issues travelling through leicester. The staff understood that their system didnt work and would help me when their ticket providing apps werent working. They used to be reasonable human beings who would give a bit of leeway if you were struggling.nI dont know if some-kind of memo was put through or something. But the staff do not care anymore, they are flippant rude and sometimes down right nasty.nToday one of them lied to my face.
