I was truly impressed with my visit to Leeds Art Gallery. The art exhibits were well-curated and beautifully organized, with each room's layout perfectly arranged. A standout feature is the library for both adults and children. The children's library, in particular, offers a wide selection of new books and comfortable seating, making it a delightful spot for young readers.

The Leeds Art Gallery is an astonishing hymn to the power of municipal philanthropy and the desire to acquire and make available for viewing, free of charge, art that nourishes the soul and inspires the spirit. I was here to see two exhibitions: The Lives Of Others" and "An Axis Of Abstraction - Art in Cornwall and Yorkshire : Then & Now. " They didn't disappoint. The art on show was beautifully displayed in gallery's flooded with natural light. If you visit Leeds Art Gallery, be sure to spend time in the tea room on the ground floor. It is a beautiful temple of Victorian tiling.
Such a nice experience! You can go for free to this museum and see the wonderful exhibitions they have, it’s totally worth it, especially because I went very early, so it was almost empty, and I could appreciate everything without the crowds. Also, worth mentioning that the people who work there are so helpful, they explained all the exhibitions and gave nice recommendations to explore around the city. There’s a café inside the museum which is also very good and worth it after walking around a bit.

It's difficult to give a free gallery or museum less than 5 stars. Leeds Art Gallery combines some beautiful architecture with an impressive permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. There's also a cafe in a stunning setting we didn't indulge on this occasion, and a gallery shop. Well worth a visit.

I was surprised when i learned that theres no entrance fee in the gallery. I enjoyed the free exhibitions and appreciated all the paintings and art pieces that was featured on the ground level and 1st floor.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Impressive building with lots of art both traditional and modern. I Don't really get the modern stuff but each to their own. There's plenty about feminism and women's rights at the moment if that's your thing. There's plenty for children to keep them occupied. Has a cafe but we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Will definitely return
