Excellent pub that does proper pub food. Always friendly staff that go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. We take our little dog and she is always welcome. Great food, great atmosphere and a thoroughly enjoyable meal EVERY time. I highly recommend a visit!

We thought we would have a drink and some lunch at this pub and asked whether dogs were allowed. The lady informed us that they are welcome, so we took a seat and were just settling, but after only 2 minutes the lady came to us and abruptly told us that we had to order at the bar and our dog cannot be in there if it barks. Our dog is a small puppy and doesn't usually bark, he was just barking quietly under the table because there was food all over the floor and he was trying to get it. We hadn't had time to settle him and no effort was made by her to offer him water, only judgement and rudeness. This is not a dog friendly or even people friendly pub and we will not be returning.
Lovely village pub just off the M40 with great beer and food. Always a really warm welcome. There's a children's play area and a beer garden too if you want to take the ankle biters.
Favourite pub, landlady always makes me feel welcome and shows interest. Food here is great, and the perfect place for a cosy quiet drink. Plus dogs everywhere
Lovely beer and a great welcome. An old pub but absolutely pristine. Obviously a lot of care and attention is spent on it. The beer is pricey, but a great pub.
