I came to this restaurant with a friend based on a recommendation. You can’t make reservations, so be prepared to queue—we waited about 30 minutes. While you’re in line, a waiter will usually ask how many people are in your group so they can prioritize seating when a suitable table becomes available for example, a table for two.nOnce seated, they immediately ask if you’d like the steak set menu with fries or an alternative option. If you choose the set menu, they’ll ask how you’d like your steak cooked; we went for rare. To drink, we ordered a bottle of house wine and tap water.nnFood: First, they serve a simple salad—lettuce with mustard dressing and a few walnuts—while you wait for the steak. The dressing was nice, but overall, nothing special.nThen comes the steak, sliced, with fries and a green sauce. The steak was quite good, and you can order seconds of both the steak and fries if you’d like.nWine: The wine was disappointing, especially for the price. It lacked body for a red and had a slightly bitter finish—not worth what they charge.nThere were several dessert options that looked appealing, but we skipped them this time.nnPrice: The set menu was £33 per person, and the bottle of wine was £27. It’s not a bargain, but I’d say it’s worth visiting for the steak. The wine, however, I wouldn’t recommend.
Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecôte offers a simple yet incredibly satisfying dining experience. The queue was long—around 40 to 50 minutes—but worth it. The steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, paired with their signature rich sauce. The crispy, golden fries were the perfect complement and endlessly refillable, making the meal feel indulgent and comforting. Despite the wait, the service was quick and efficient once seated. A great spot if you’re craving a classic, well-executed steak-frites experience!
Wanted to visit this French steak house for a long time and eventually came with three friends. It was Sunday after 1pm, we queued and waited for half an hour for a table, which was not too bad. There only one set menu that covers bread, salad, steak and fries. They offer one refill of steak and fries. The food was good but not great. The seat setting was very close to each others. We had two bottles of house red at £27 a bottle, that was reasonable. Unfortunately we didn't check the bill when we pay until two hours later when I looked at the photo of the receipt and found that they had charged us three bottles of red.
Came here before it opened, this has a queue already. Once open we waited 15 minutes to be seated. The tables are close together and the restaurant was busy. Everyone eats the same thing in close proximity of each other so be ready to squeeze next to each other. Starting salad and baguette was okay. Nothing much to say, the dressing was nice on some lettuce leaves and had some walnuts on top. However, the steak was really really tasty. Thin strips cooked to my liking rare and a heap of fries along with their sauce, a full plate! Then once finished your plate, your remaining steak, fries and sauce keeping warm is added to your plate. Great food, seems to have a fast turnover of customers. Place is big and filled with tables. Great place, great food and great price! Would definitely come again.
First of all, I'd like to say that this is a restaurant in London that will definitely satisfy your hunger. Even though we arrived during dinner service, we waited in line for about 30-45 minutes. The restaurant was very elegant and crowded. All the wait staff we saw were women of various ages. The modest salad, a small bowl of lettuce, walnuts, and mustard, was wonderfully flavorful and filling. They told us they only cooked the meat medium or rare. They served half of the meat with plenty of fries and sauce. Then they served the rest of the meat and plenty of home-style potatoes. The wine they recommended and all the desserts were excellent.
