Quite simply the best French cafe in London, with croque monsieurs to die for, excellent sausage rolls and mochas using Monmouth coffees, and fabulous produce from the likes of Dusty Knuckle, Navarrico, Maisin Marc, and La Trinquelitinne. I was fortunate to live around the corner from here for many years and I’ll always make the desire to visit when I’m in the neighbourhood.
I can't begin to explain how awesome Le Peche Mignon is. Ok, I'll try. First, the croissants are a must. They are flaky on the outside and buttery on the inside, and are far better than croissants from the more popular places in central London. Second, the coffee is excellent, whether you are getting a cappuccino or black. Third, the quiches are spectacular - flaky crust and flavourful fillings. Fourth, the croissants...
My go-to place for delicious artisan coffee and sublime patisseries....and their Edit of French products is excellent! Staff so smiling and kind, the owner often there and similarly approachable and full of good advice. He's created an atmosphere that feels so homely. I have to forbid myself to go else I puff up myself! But my team at work loves it when we have a special event to celebrate and I bring in the croissants, pain au chocolat and even better, croque-monsieurs!!!! Stay away if you can't handle temptation!!!
We stopped here for breakfast and had a lovely slice of lemon bread and chocolate croissant. Also their hot chocolate and peppermint tea was yummy. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is relaxed and cozy. Highly recommend if you are wanting to find a nice place for breakfast.
Cute people serving cute things! Walked in for my morning coffee post run! They use Monmouth coffee so if Borough market is far, this is perf! The pastries were fresh. Quick service. Friendly staff and welcoming with a wide smile! Great start to a day. They also do french Wine and Deli items like cheese and meat if you eat nonveg! The name is a tricky one but a hidden gem and definitely worth trying!
Loaded with french and italian goods. They also sell wine and drinks. We tried their sandwich and salad of the day, both very delicious. Also their canelé was incredible.Recommended dishes
Cosy aka small local cafe with even smaller add-on deli and fridge of cheese. Food quality is high and they knock out French-inspired classics. Initially I wasn’t convinced - seemed small and the seating didn’t work one long table plus city courtyard seating however over time you realise that people “budge up” and you can fit in. The staff are really friendly. Good music too.
My favourite little local café. They are always so friendly inside, have great fresh baked food and coffee as well as a nice collection of French deli items.Food: 5/5
Have breakfast many times here ! the coffee and the croissant really tasty. Now I move my flat and still miss the bakery there a lot.
