Excellent lunch here on Saturday. Staff were friendly and professional. The fixed 2 course lunch was excellent - baked camembert and then the fish cake. Lovely decor inside and good atmosphere. Very reasonable price for what we had. Will come back again.Food: 5/5
Very Disappointing. I ordered a medium rare steak, arrived medium to well with a very watery sauce. I heard the pass bell three times before someone picked it up. The manager didn’t even approach the table a single time. He was there on the phone the whole time despite I was trying to have an eye contact to address the issue, he couldn’t care less. I’ve been here many times always been great.
Enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend making a reservation as it does fill up, especially on a weekend. Really love the calamari here as they are gluten free and delicious! They have a good wine list and they have good set menus if you book during the times those menus are available. The lemon dessert is also so amazing! Dietary restrictions: Great options for GF.
Went out for food yesterday, Sunday. 2 waiters running around trying to take care of a handful of tables and a waiting time of around 50 minutes after ordering the food. Waited another good while just for 2 drinks when we ordered a refill, and didn't even get the coffees we ordered with dessert. Overall, very poor service and, considerably understaffed. Food was good, yet the portions were slightly disappointing in relation to the big plate given to you, presentation was great and really appetising.
Me and my partner went earlier in the year. The staff were great, service and atmosphere were phenomenal and overall our experience was positive. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted promptly. The food was presented beautifully and was pleasant to the eye however, I found it to be nothing special. I wasn't blown away and although the price is fair I was hoping for more. Overall our experience was positive, I just wish the food had met our expectations when it came to our pallet. Would I come back? Potentially. Would I recommend someone visit? Definitely.
I book a table for my family and i, 4 of us for a Sunday at 12:30. First thing i noticed is how busy it was so i think at least around these times you'll need to book to avoid disappointment. The ambience is very nice lots of lighting and a pleasant feel. We all ordered 3 courses and there was a nice sufficient gap between the courses so there was never a feeling of hurry up and eat to free up your table. I did only happen to notice in small print on the menu bottom that there is a surcharge added as tips and i feel this is wrong it should be optional i determine if i have had good service or not. The staff were pleasant. The coffee only comes in set size cups and it was not made very well and the only milk alternative was soya. Menu felt a tad limited but we chose still with relative ease. The food was excellent, so well prepared piping hot and clearly freshly made. The only criticism was portion sizes felt a bit wanting and having had a 3 course meal i was still hungry. Some minor criticisms but i would definitely recommend
I’m very disappointed, that was the best restaurant in town doing beef burgers , but not anymore, even the french fries become more like McDonald’s food , WHyyyyyy?? U RUINED IT ! The problem is they kept the price Food: 1/5
Warm, welcoming restaurant with excellent, friendly service. The 6-course menu, the “Soirée Gastronomique” 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month, is an evening of fantastic value at £26.95 pp, but the Menu Pierre 2/3 courses for £18.95/ £22.95 is also good value. The £12 lunchtime mains are well worth a look, too.
A lovely atmosphere, especially in the evenings. The food is routinely great and the service is as one would expect of a good restaurant. The prices are reasonable and it would be a great place to treat the respective other to a date night!Food: 4/5
Good Christmas decorations. Sirloin is well cooked. Recommend upgrading to truffle fries. Comfit duck leg is terrible and tasted very dry, don't order. Crème brulee inside is cold not warm, and not particularly delicious. Mussels special is a cute cuisine and it tasted good, well matched with sauerkraut.Food: 3/5
