I like to frequent Laura Ashley stores wherever I go. Usually I am not greeted as other customers are probably because I am not the stereotypical customer. However, there was a lady downstairs who was more than happy to greet me into the store and said if I needed anything that I could ask. I then wandered upstairs to check the homewares and was greeted by another lovely lady who offered me a free seasonal catalogue and answered by query regarding a specific product. The only downside to LA is that some products are a bit expensive and you can often find a similar product elsewhere for a lot cheaper.
Unfortunately the sales assistant in the ‘home’ department last Sunday was extremely unhelpful. In these days of closing stores, the least the staff could do is show some interest in customer’s queries. I’d be reluctant to visit again.
