The restaurant is located on Wilmslow Road curry mile. I had no been here for several years and the decor felt like it had not changed one bit. As soon as we sat down we was provided with poppadoms and chutney tray without even been asked if we wanted it. I'd checked the bill and found we were charged for it. I found that a bit cheeky. The food was good and tasted fresh. I also found that waiter was hovering and asking if we wanted more drinks when our glass were half full. Overall good food but we found our food bill inflated.
First time going into the shop. I got a mixed donner on naan and a chicken donner on naan. I waited 40 minutes for my food. The donner was dripping of oil to the point it ripped through the paper and the bag was full of oil. The chicken donner did not taste fresh and it was extremely dry. First time and last time. Never going again.Food: 2/5
Excellent restaurant nestled amongst several other places of variable quality, I can say I have been a few times now and everything I have eaten has been really enjoyable and full of flavour, the waiter make excellent recommendations, take note of this and discover something amazing, I had chicken kuchi on my last visit and I urge you to try this dish , enjoy!!
This I must stop on my travels up and down south Honestly what a place If your in town and hungry Head to LAL QILA doesn't look like the best place in town But by God it is their Kabebs Are fit for Kings Haven't ate a kabeb in Glasgow since I was taken here you wouldn't either #LALQILAFORKINGSMANCHESTER Parking: Theirs some spaces out side if your lucky enough.. Tho across the road theirs a car park which is cheap With cctv and can see it from shop Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
I used to love this place back in my uni days. The sheikh kebab and chicken donner was always fresh and of outstanding quality. My past few visits have been unfavourable. The staff customer service skills have been lacking, the sheikh kebab is no longer the thick juicy kebab it used to be. Chicken donner did not taste fresh. I think this place has begun to go downhill. Standards are slipping, portions are shrinking and food lacks oomph and juice, yet the price is increasing significantly!!! It's just an Okay price now like many others who just offer basic edible food.
Meat/Meats - Finally proper D, not drenched in sauce like I keep seeing on here, thinly cut a must proper tasty, reminds me of the donner from saajans fallowfield back in the day...really good Too many places cut it thick and tastes too meaty and lost the essence of what D is Impressed 9/10 Bread - freshly made...quite thin but deceptively strong and tasty...not the best I’ve had but nice 7/10 Accompaniments Salads & Sauces - Fresh salad, but no pickled chillis unless I didn’t see them Sauces, yoghurt and chill they also had mango but I’m not a fan of that on a bab Nice sauces, chilli sauce is different, it’s yoghurty and a bit sweet, not too hot but nice, but I prefer the hotter chilli sauce from camel one/RC 6/10 Value - £4.50 pretty standard I’d say!! 8/10 Eatability - Held up really well, didn’t drop anything and no splits in the bread...no car clean required 9/10 Overall score- 39/50 Conclusion- This would make a cracking hybrid bab Kobeda from RC then portion of donner from here and your into a winner This will be my new go too for a quick donner
It's ok, on the side street. Service wad great. Food could be better.Food: 3/5
The best garlic and cheese naan ever. Trust me this place knows how to make the perfect naan bread. Food is always Quality!Food: 5/5
We Go here a lot as the food is excellent. The service is usually spot on but tonight there was a wedding party on up stairs, so tonight was the worst service I've ever had, our dinner was throw on the table, the drinks were thrown down that the waiter nearly tipped it over me but I caught it in time. We mught try it again but it might be time for a change.
We tried the takeaway around the corner of the restaurant. Very fast service, chargrilled kebabs were very tasty and succulent served with a very soft naan and fresh salad. One of the best kebabs in the area. Lamb chops were also very tender and have a lovely barbequed flavour.
