Our party had an excellent sit-in meal. The owner was very happy to explain the ingredients, both for interest and also for allergy advice. Very friendly and welcoming.

Had a very nice valentine's meal last night. Yes the decor possibly needs a bit of a refresh, but it was interesting and had a good atmosphere. Food was lovely, just the right amount of spice and not too much oil etc. Unfortunately they ran out of rosé, but had a fantastic bottle of Chablis instead! Staff were also very attentive even though it was fairly busy. We'll be back again soon - definitely worth a visit.

Very good curry house. Went through a bit of a dip but now has new owners who have made a big difference. The food is really good if a little slow to arrive sometimes. My last visit saw them short of staff, so it took longer than normal, but the customer service is first rate

Got my takeaways from Lal Jomi for 15 years. Since they changed the chef, the restaurant is really not worth your time. Way too expensive for what it is. My vegetarian curry came with frozen veg; rounded carrots, sweetcorn and peas. The food is terrible compared to what it used to be - they cut corners everywhere. Sadly, they do not seem to care about their food any more and it is purely quantity over quality.
