Story

Welcome to Lace & Co. Bridal Boutique. We are a beautiful award winning bridal shop located in the picturesque village of Horbury near Wakefield in Yorkshire.

We specialise in beautiful traditional or vintage-inspired French lace bridal gowns, romantic bohemian style gowns and fabulous 1950s tea-length wedding dresses from a range of Designers including House of Mooshki, Charlotte Balbier, Rembo Styling and Claire Pettibone.

As well as stunning bridal gowns, we also have a wonderful collection of vintage inspired headpieces including fabulous 1950s birdcage veils, tiaras and crin veils, suitable for all occasions.

We try to offer our brides something a little different to most contemporary bridal shops. Our dream is to find the dress that perfectly matches each bride's unique personality, whether it be a fun and flirty spotted tulle & lace 1950s wedding dress, a romantic bohemian dress or a divine and elegant full length silk bridal gown.

We pride ourselves on our fabulous customer service and the friendly and fun style of our consultations as well as the beautiful collection of gowns that we have to offer our lovely brides.

I have so many lovely things to say about Lace & Co that it's difficult to know where to start!

I found my dream dress last week thanks to Heidi and her very helpful assistant Jess. They both really listened to the details of our wedding, and didn't rush me once as I tried on quite a few dresses to see which styles suited me. Together we found the perfect Charlotte Balbier gown that complimented my figure, suited the relaxed boho style of our big day, and that ultimately made me feel bridal but still 'like me'!

My beautiful dress was in the sale but I was given the same exceptional service as a bride paying full price, including safe storage of my dress until the big day and fitting appointments. Things that I know other boutiques rarely offer for sale or sample gowns.

Overall I really enjoyed my appointment and the process of choosing my dress. If you're looking for something a little different to what you tend to find in other boutiques and someone who really knows unique and elegant bridal gowns, then you won't regret booking an appointment at Lace & Co.

Thanks again to lovely Heidi and Jess for their kindness and expertise - I can't wait for my first fitting!

Heidi looked after me from start to finish and I can't put into words how excellent her service was. 

The range of dresses are hand picked from quality designers and are not jammed in on rails like some other shops. She makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the word go and really cares about her brides.

Heidi really took her time measuring me and my dress arrived on Saturday! (only 4 months which is so quick compared to the 8-9 months other shops told me) It fits perfectly and I'm so pleased with it. Completely effortless and pleasant from start to finish. (btw, even if I did need an alteration Heidi is in touch with the best seamstress in town - very quick and incredibly reasonable, so you need not worry at all if that's on your mind)

For people not familiar with Horbury - there is plenty of cheap/free parking around (opposite the shop or round the back of the Co-op) and there is a nice coffee shop to sit and mull over your choices. DEFINITELY pay Heidi a visit if you are looking for a dress that's a bit more "you" or are fed up of trying on the same old thing in every other shop.
