About

From hardware to clothing we offer a selection of timeless products that celebrate functional design.

Story

We believe in a simple, honest approach to design, where quality and utility are intrinsic.

From hardware to clothing we offer a selection of timeless products that celebrate functional design and which are appropriate in a traditional or contemporary environment.

We have assembled a carefully curated collection of new and vintage items, some of them familiar, others waiting to be discovered. These everyday classics will not date but will mellow with age and are destined to become favourites.

Lovely place. Well merchandised, great staff. I always spend money.
Amazing old fashioned utility shop … and of course I bought things. Cute enamel bowls!
Fantastic staff who took time to explain the provenance of several items and arrange the pick up of an item enamel house number in gorgeous Gil Sans font from their nearby outlet when it was out of stock in store. The shop contains only beautiful, good quality and functional items that'll last for years to come. We'll certainly return when in the area!
Very interesting shop with lots to see. They have the original Brown Betty teapot new edition, which unlike its imitations uses red clay. I will definitely return. Also their wrapping service is spot-on. Precision folding, that :
Great products. Super friendly and helpful people here. One of my favorite shops.
lovely store as always
Doesn’t take any responsibility for the fact that the hours on Google are wrong. This shop opens at 11 not 10.
One of the most charming shops in London - absolutely essential for lovers of quality homeware and independent retail.
Nothing better. I am in London every year the second week of December and Labour and Wait is a must stop. The smartest, most thoughtful utilities, trinkets and items you didn't know you really needed. Until you wanted them so badly you left with them.
Lovely products & the loveliest staff
