this school is so bad. non uniform items get taken away for a week. teachers are so rude to the students and mental health is just something that doesn’t matter. substitutes don’t get fired even after many reports and it’s overall a bad school. don’t send your child here
this school is a nightmare. The school team doesn't know how to treat pupils. Talk to them is a waste of time. I strongly recommend to any parents to reconsider to send their daughter in this institute.
This school is terrible! I have a niece that goes to this school and there has been an exclusion earlier this year! She says there has been vaping in the toilets, the teachers give out B1s 10 minute detentions for no reason and also the meat in the canteen is under cooked which is a health hazard! Do not send your kids here and find a better school. Also her parents keep getting messages saying I got a detention when it is not true. The KS3 children have to stay outside even if its freezing cold and will get B1s for going inside.
I would like to say big thanks to specially one of the amazing school staff Mrs Isabel Delgado who helped my daughter and waited with her until she sat safely to a cab shared her phone so I was able to pass a message to my daughter after hours of work, as due to traffic incident I was running late for 40 minutes.. If not for this good lady's good intensions and good deed my daughter would be left stranded and scared not knowing what happened or what to do further as she haven't got her phone nor the oyster card. Once again- thank you for your nice gesture.
Am currently going here and its so bad I mostly think they only care about how the school looks and not about the actual children here also there was a previous teacher call Ms Kantorowicz that was most likely got fired for body shamming her students and also a other teacher called Ms Garvin that said a racial word to her students also here the students are really rude to be honest am scared of some of the students because they spread rumours and fights I have witnessed one during a lunchtime also a bunch of people skiving in toilet stalls, PE halls, and sometimes outside there classrooms and behind buildings, this school also leave there students outside while the school day starts and it’s forbidden to go inside or you get a b1 detention as students we tried asking teachers to at least change little things so we can feel comfortable in school and when we request it, it never happens I can tell that the school is trying to change but it’s not working at the moment but I hope you reconsider bringing your daughter here this is just my opinion and all of this started in my first year I hope there will be an change later in the year
i went there for yr 7 and 8. the worst two years off my life. i hated it so much. the teachers bullied the students and gave out detentions for no reason. it was so bad. the teachers are all rude and fake. i hated it. there is a terrible uniform and bad "school rules" . the teacher made the students cry. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
My friend has a child there who is being bullied for months and the school hasn't done enough to stop it. Got so bad, they are thinking of leaving
Despite LSU having a "good" rating from Ofsted my year 7 experience there would suggest that Ofsted has been very generous. Having before and since been elsewhere with similar ratings, I’d said it should be way down. I could give many examples, but to pluck one example at random, in French, pupils were made to do GCSE past papers in year 7 when no one had been instructed in French and they predicted our grades would be around Fs or Gs. I would rather do the GCSE past papers when I do know some French like in year 9 but not in year 7. There were more troubling aspects. I witnessed numerous incidents of bullying against people with disability. Teachers who were there carried on as if they had not seen – more Pharisee than good Samaritan. By their acts you shall know them, I read somewhere. Students with disability suffered a truly hard life. For example, I saw them put into isolation for things that were accidental and part of their disability. If you do have disabled girl please do not send her to this school. And I can tell you from experience that if you report a bullying incident the school won't bother about it. There are some teachers in the school that do understand people with SEN, but they are far and few between. The majority do not. So I would suggest you not to go to this school if you have a child with SEN. The head teacher and her deputy run the school for the benefit of the teachers. Problems are brushed under the carpet. The woman is a lot of talk, but no effective action. Do you want your daughter to be a violent girl when she is older? Well, in year 9 there were some students who were going to stab girls from another school called Mount Carmel. Some year 9s also attacked a girl which made her go to hospital with a broken nose and force her to leave the school. Also some students take drugs and cigarettes when they are in years 10 and 11 when there is locker inspections. Is there anything positive about the school? Yes. Two things. First, it has great buildings and grounds and a great setting. You can see it better when you’re outside the school from the street then when you’re inside. Once you have passed the impressive entrance corridor it descends into untidy, chaotic, impractical and unfriendly spaces. A metaphor for the school I thought by the end. Secondly, it teaches you to learn independently. There is no point I discovered waiting for the school, expecting it to take a lead or to inspire or to encourage or to do anything much. It won’t happen. You have to fire yourself up. You have to learn to push yourself. I am grateful for having learned that by the end. I won’t lose that. You could put me anywhere now and I’d just get on with it. But having got that skill I am finding that with it I am doing much better in a place which actually does care about its students. And a lot happier too. I know I am not alone.
As a parent, I've watched this school go downhill since the new headteacher previous french teacher. Completly let my daughter down and didnt follow their own policy. The deaprtment of education had to intervene and inform the headteacher to adhere to the schools policy
the teacher may be kind to you when you walk around the school telling all the girls to behave when visitors or parents are looking around, this school is so fake its sad to know that the head teacher only talks to you, to either get a bad mark for rolling your kilt or shout out you same to other teachers they abuse the pleasure they receive when they teach pupils DON'T GO TO THIS SCHOOL! I'm a student and i'm probably going to get into trouble because of this oh well..
