A fun and relaxed little place with a warm, friendly atmosphere, but with character too. I ordered a mushroom pizza with extras of sun-dried tomato and Gorgonzola. The manager/chef or whoever is a great guy, and I was impressed to actually taste Gorgonzola throughout my pizza, as usually places are so tight these days. And the pizza had some splendid charring and crispiness, delicious! I'll definitely be back here again.
I walked past here and saw the 2 course menu deal which was fairly priced so decided to come in for dinner with my niece. The staff were lovely and polite but I was mildly impressed with my food, the garlic bread was burnt at the sides and my penne arrabbiata was slightly undercooked. My niece enjoyed her Scampi dish which she chose for starters but did not finish her Spaghetti Carbonara - on the menu it stated "crispy pieces of bacon" but it looked and tasted more like floppy ham. It was ok as we were in a rush and wanted a quick bite to eat but you do get what you pay for. To start off with I’d like to clarify we went on a match day, so it was probably busier than it usually would be. The positives are that it was close to the station, reasonably priced and had a good selection of choices. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and willing to help. While we were there we experienced a manager who was visibly stressed and became snappy with staff and customers alike, at one point even telling off a waiter who was taking our order saying he doesn’t want anymore orders to be taken. This was slightly awkward and didn’t create a welcoming feel. We waited for about 15 minutes for a table which wasn’t terrible, but were squeezed in right by the door in a bit of an awkward position. The food wait wasn’t long considering it was busy, and was no more than 15-20 minutes. Yet I feel my pizza was still slightly doughy and not as cooked as it could’ve been. Again all of this may be different on a less busy day, meaning the atmosphere as a whole would improve. I would go here again, but not something I would go out of my way to visit
Nice little place, as Italian as it gets, with delicious, unexpensive pizza like in Italy!, fast service and good atmosphere. Great for lunch. I love when I discover these places, it makes my day always!
Ordered brussetta and the bread was rock hard and there was no flavour to it. Cut my gums. Then ordered a margarita pizza which was awful. When I sent it back I could here the staff say I don't care. No wonder they always look empty. This is not authentic Italian food. My friends pasta looked well over cooked old, not fresh at all. Give this place a wide birth!! No customer service!!
Love this place. Last minute booking and such lovely vibes. Lovely hearty food. Cheap and near the station. Thank you so much.Food: 4/5
Ideal for a quick bite! The decor in here is almost like a burger bar with fixed booths which makes it a little impersonal. The menu was pretty extensive with plenty of choice. The service was efficient and speedy which was great as we were going to a gig over the road. All the food was delicious. The study drinks came out tepid and I think they should at least offer ice and a slice Would definitely recommend it for an easy meal, but don't expect an attention to detail
Have popped in here a few times now and quality is very reliable. The restaurant is right next to Highbury and Islington station and close to Highbury Fields park, so very convenient. It has the feel of a real Italian family restaurant with authentic dishes. Very familiar friendly as well! The pizza base is a little bit bland, very crispy and fluffy with delicious toppings, trypical Italian style pizza! The pasta dishes I've tried were all fantastic. Prices are very good, especially for the area. Service has always been friendly, but a little slow and not very attentive. Great little restaurant in a convenient location!
Had a decent enough 2 course meal, even though my pepperoni pizza looked more like a margarita with a couple dead slices of pepperoni on it, but felt sick after seeing £8 for a pint on the bill! The 2 course meal was £10! Like WTAF!? £8 for a pint!? It's not even west end!! Won't be going back! Food: 4/5
Good food at a good price set menu. The customer service here is excellent, manager was very attentive and welcoming, throughly enjoyed our evening here.
