Decided to try this place on a monday night, after passing it many times but never entering. We were a bit worried when we went in, as there was only one other table, but our fears proved totally unfounded. A good selection of drinks and an inventive tapas menu. The service was friendly and efficient although with only one other table it would have been worrying if it wasn't! and the food was excellent. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent authentic tapas bar with a good range of dishes. It's not cheap but the quality wins out. Great wine selection and desserts. Has monthly Spanish guitar evening and Flamenco dancer.
I've eaten here on numerous occasions, and it remains my favourite restaurant in Exeter. Always great food and service, and the menu continues to evolve, keeping the dining experience fresh and interesting. I doubt you'll get better tapas or Spanish food anywhere in the southwest!
It is a lovely place with tasty food. Super for family dinner and friend gathering.
Superb tapas place - knocks the likes of La Tasca into a cocked hat. From our latest visit, the only tapas dish I wasn't so keen on was the cheese-topped chorizo: just too oily for my liking. Otherwise would recommend anything. I'd say 3-4 dishes per person is about right, but if you're unsure then the staff are friendly and helpful. Desserts are homemade and tasty; the chocolate cup is delicious but my god it's rich. The White Hart opposite is good for a pint or two beforehand/afterwards.
The short walk outside of the centre of the city is totally worth it. Nice service but most of all amazing food: an excellent selection of authentic tapas, rare Spanish liqeurs try the ron miel, trust me! plus a wide wine offer and Spanish beers. Loved every bite and every sip, a superb dinner.
Highly recommended, discovered last year by chance, and have been regular patrons since. It's not cheap, but we'll worth a treat. Great food, well presented, friendly staff. Will be back soon.
An absolute waste of time for someone coming from a Latin Background. Ingredients were poor and obviously not fresh. The onions felt like they were stored for months before served. The dishes, poor quality replicas of what authentic Spanish dishes and tapas should taste like. Very poor wine choice. I would not recommend the house wine.
Has a lovely meal with my family here in August, Third time visiting and was great again. Food never fails to taste brilliant -- good atmosphere and friendly staff. I'll be back soon!
Food was nice but not amazing. I'd say a little overpriced for what you get. Service was good and complementary soup was a nice touch . Wine was as I was expecting for the price .All in all a reasonable meal and overall dining experience however I wouldn't rush back.
