Heavy rain and bad traffic in Chingford one weekday evening brought us to the door of La Baita...and we've been doing a bit of an Italian restaurant tour in the local area recently so we thought why not!  Just based on this one visit - La Baita beats all the other Italian restaurants we've been to in Wanstead, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Loughton and Snaresbrook combined. We're definitely coming back.  Fresh food, really attentive staff, a great menu an interesting specials board and a friendly family run atmosphere.

Just lovely I had liver in wine to start calamari good bottle of red to follow black forest gateux homemade birthday cake and double espresso my wife had minestrone and veal Milanese.6 of us went we had a great time.Food: 5/5

Great food, but could be presented better. Bread, with dishes was just plain white.  A selection would have been nicer. Service was very good,  staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would  definitely come again.

Had just been to the dentist & as I come from central London , I thought I would make it a day out & let's face it you can't go wrong with Italian , & I was not wrong it was fabulous & the aperiol  spritz  went down a treat

Very nice Italian restaurant. Feels as if one is in good hands.

We have been going to the restaurant for just over 30 years. I know since I just had my 30th anniversary meal there with family and we had lunch there the day before our wedding. A family run restaurant, good quality products, cooked well, served by friendly, attentive and we'll informed staff. A gem to be loved and supported... And the food is excellent as well!!!!

Fabulous food and friendly service.  My favourite place to eat.  Recommend the Skate.
