Amazing food, as always. Staff are very friendly. Service is great. Food presented well. The salad looked so pretty. Thoroughly recommended.
Gorgeous little Italian restaurant situated on French row in St Albans, with a wide choice of food including a good vegetarian selection. There is limited seating and the eatery popular so do book a table. The service is friendly and attentive. The focaccia bread basket starter was fresh crispy on the outside and sift inside, served with olive oil and vinegar. The pizzas were thin and crispy although I felt mine was a little dry at the edges and cold have done with more sauce/ topping at the edge. The mushrooms and artichoke oenne pasta was good pasta is served al dante. The tiramisu was absolutely wonderful and worth the calories. Toilets were clean. I did not see any civid precautions. All in all a good dinner experience. Will go there again.

We wanted to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday with an Italian meal in an authentic and intimate setting and L’Italiana is the perfect restaurant. The food is amazing - great choices, very tasty and generous portions. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful with great service. The mussels were full of flavour, and the starter on the Special - crab and prawn bruschetta - was delicious. For mains, two of us ordered the Veal Milanese and Pollo Milanese which are our favourites - we asked if we could change the sauce to bolognese with the spaghetti, which was no problem at all - we were not disappointed. All our meals were so delicious - the food exceeded our expectations. We ordered garlic bread which we couldn’t finish as we were so full so asked if we could take it home, which the waitress was happy to pack for us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant - the food is to die for with a lovely intimate and authentic atmosphere and genuine, friendly staff.
I visited here with my girlfriend. On arrival we were greeted with a warm and welcoming reception. Very nice atmosphere. The food was lovely. Food was served hot and Lots of flavour. For anyone with mobility issues...this place is good. One small step at the entrance. Restroom is just up three shallow steps. We Would highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
We got here by coincidence because other restaurants were full. And how fortunate we have! We had amazing pizza, pasta and wine. The staff was very polite and efficient in spite of a very busy time Saturday night. I can make a recommendation.Food: 5/5
Best Italian food eaten in UK , family atmosphere, fair prices....our whole family enjoying there since 2008 when we discover that restaurant....and this aroma ....as soon as you step in you can smell real Italian food...love it!!! And not to mention the owners they are very nice , friendly and always sliming. .
Thanks for a great date night dinner. We had no booking but still got a table. Casual and friendly service. Very good pizza!!! - arrived quickly. Delicious tiramisu. We will definitely be back.
This is an old established Italian restaurant with classic dishes. My companion and I my shared a lovely starter of calamari followed by the special of the day. All served beautifully. This is more of a cafe style place rather than of posh restaurant - but all the better for it!Food: 4/5
Son's pizzas were huge and he devoured it. Our seafood pasta needed a little more seasoning. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. I would eat there again.
