Our customers include artists, colleges, students, illustrators, calligraphers, gilders, specialist decorators, iconographers, designers, photographers, restorers, sign writers, colour makers and tourists visiting the British Museum.

Customers are served not only in our shop but also via traditional mail order and our online shop.

This shop is magical. Like stepping back in time to the Dicken's era, in a good way! The art materials, Greetings cards, books and especially their hand marbled papers are exquisite. Staff are helpful too.
We stumbled across this amazing art shop on our way to the British Museum- what a lucky find! My mom is a mixed media artist who was in absolute heaven browsing the shelves full of wonderful art supplies. The ambiance in the store is amazing even if you aren't an artist, and the large jars of pigment up on the shelves were beautiful to behold. A highly inspirational shop with a super helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit if you're in the area!
Quaint arts supply shop. Very patient and gracious staff. My wife is the artist in the family so I can't really comment on the range of supplies .. but she found everything she was looking for! Pleasant experience overall.
A real treat for any creative, drawers upon drawers of goodies, wide selections of products and knowledgeable staff
What an amazing shop, there is high quality material available. It has a wonderful historic history to it... Its easy to get lost looking through art material. Staff are very helpful, even if your not clear on what you need, do explain to the staff, as they have the experience and expertise to guide you in the right direction. I have come to purchase specific brushes for a friend in Tokyo as they are not available, if they are, they are over priced, so l am happy to hop on a train to get her brushes for her.
This is another one of my favourite independent shops in London. And as I've mentioned in my past reviews about other independent stores, I will always support them regardless. For those of you who are serious about purchasing high-grade and upscale quality artist stationary, Cornelissen's is the go to place for that.
The perfect place to take american artist friends - quality art supplies in perfectly old-fashioned surroundings. Plus knowledgeable friendly staff.
An amazing place, heaven to everyone that is looking for art supplies. Specialised in difficult to find items. Everyone is very friendly and open to help you in all the way they can. They have a worldwide shipping service from their website, but I recommend to go to their shop if you can, as it's simply beautiful to see! The atmosphere is extraordinary and everything is perfectly placed and easy to find!
