Do not use this company! This is a third update on my previous review. Since writing that their workmanship was good, a radiator that they installed fell off the wall. The short story is that they mounted it to plasterboard (which may be ok for a small radiator but this radiator is tall and heavy). The radiator fell without warning, causing damage but I actually feel lucky because if my son had been sitting where he normally does at the time, he could have been killed because of the weight. The owner has refused to accept liability because we supplied the radiator, which I find incredible! I have another radiator on the opposite side of my living room which I am concerned will do the same as it has been mounted in the exact same way. The owners way of testing this was to pull it! I'm no expert, but this is no way to test if something is safe. I am now in the process of pursuing my legal options which I presume will be a long battle. However, his lack of professionalism leaves me with no option. He cannot be allowed to act in such a disgusting way. Do not be tempted to use this company as they clearly have no regard for quality of work or safety. The reason for the original post seems so trivial now in comparison to the problem I am now faced with. I have left the original post for your information, but I suggest you consider this part more when looking for a reputable company to work in your home. Workmanship was good. Payment was the issue! My husband was out of country and LC Joinery sent a young guy to my house at night asking for payment. I was told payment was overdue but I had no knowledge of the company so was reluctant to engage with them. I asked them for an invoice at the time (as I would have expected them to have this if the visit was regarding payment). They didn't have one. The contract had been set up between my husband and this company so I had no idea who they were. I have updated this review a month after posting. I am disappointed that the owner thought it was acceptable to come to my door again to complain about my review and say that I had posted lies which could harm his business. He had an argumentative manner and was certainly not there to resolve any issue. I have been caught in the middle between this company and my husband who works abroad for long periods. There appears to be an issue with the sending of invoices via email. They claim to have sent them but my husband says he never got it. I don't understand why they couldn't just post it! To be fair, I think there has been a breakdown in communication somewhere and they don't have the skills or expertise to be able to deal with this effectively. I am being very forgiving because today the owner was clearly very angry and wanted to have an argument on my doorstep. I sincerely hope he takes my comments on board and approaches customers in a better way in future. I can understand his anger as nobody likes getting a negative review, but to me that is what distinguishes a good company from the rest and being able to respond to it in a professional manner. The poor review is based on how they conduct themselves and not their workmanship.

Had a leaking guttering and LC Joinery and Roofing sorted my problem straight away. If you need them in an emergency, would highly recommend!

LC Joinery & Roofing are a very reputable company delivering excellent work. Very highly recommended if anyone is looking for a company to carry out various projects!
