Place is an absolute joke. Having used them for tyres previously, I already wasn’t enamoured with the service, with promises of tyres being ready and not even started until I turned up and made it very clear it needed doing there and then. I needed some headlight bulbs changing and having previously changed them myself, decided i would have someone else do them this time as it’s not my idea of fun. I turned up and booked an appointment for the next day, I came back at my appointment time to be told I didn’t have an appointment. When I insisted that I did, the guy decided he could do the bulb change for me. Pulled the car in, he told me i didn’t need bulbs as 3 had gone, it was likely another issue. I reiterated that i would like new bulbs fitted and if the issue wasn’t resolved at that point, I’d be more than happy to pay any other cost to fix the headlights. The staff member went off, checked what bulbs i needed despite me telling him they were H7 bulbs and came back telling me i needed LEDs which they did not have in stock. I told him it was a H7 bulb and i was told yesterday they had plenty of stock of those. He tried to remove the back of the headlight unit incorrectly despite me informing him how to access the bulbs. He then told me he needed to take my bumper off and I’d have to come back another day. I again reiterated that it was simply a bolt in the wheel arch and a bolt under the bonnet to change the headlight bulb, i even showed him the bolts. He went off and grabbed a socket not even long enough to reach the bolts came back and tried to look like he was doing something whilst merely spinning the socket the wrong way on the ratchet so it made a noise and I’d think he was really trying. After a few minutes of this, he looked at me and told me ‘the plastic clip the bolt goes into on the headlight is broken because that bolts just spinning, i can’t do this without snapping your headlight out and i don’t wanna do that because then you’ll need a new headlight’. By this point it was glaringly obvious the member of staff really just could not be bothered nor did he want to do the job. In fact I’m unsure whether he was embarrassingly lazy or embarrassingly stupid. After the mention of snapping my headlights out to change a bulb I told the member of staff to stop in his tracks and I would just do it myself. I picked up 3 H7 bulbs on my way home, and fitted them myself in less time than I was stood watching sheer incompetence at Rugeley Kwik Fit. It also cost my one third of the amount. Avoid this place at all costs, the service here is an embarrassment to the Kwik Fit brand
I have Taken my car here a couple of times in the past however, most recently the New management seems to have breathed new life into the place. very intentive staff and happy to help in any which way possible
I stopped here on my way through to Bridgnorth from The Peak District travelling back off holiday. The car was making an awful clunking noise and I thought it was the exhaust. A very lovely chap took a look at it for me and was horrified to discover it wasn’t the exhaust at all but a very loose front wheel! He quickly put it right, didn’t charge and we were soon on our way! A massive thanks to this guy. Your kindness was very much appreciated.
I booked an online air-con re-gas the previous day, when I arrived for my appointment one of the guys told me the air-con technician hadn’t showed up and could I come back another day? I wasn’t contacted to be informed they couldn’t do the work. The staff were fine but said they just fitted the tyre’s, very disappointed with Kwik-Fit’s performance.
I had a puncture and needed it fixed to get home. Kwik fit were able to offer a repair or new tyre. I chose the new tyre. Had to wait a little while as they were busy but they were great. Will go back again if I need more help
Made an appointment and on arrival informed that due to staff shortage my car may take longer than anticipated, which is good as I then had time to do other things while my car was in hand, pleased with the friendly and informative service.
What a shambolic organisation Rugeley Kwik fit are, I've made 3 phone calls in as many days, to be told we'll call you back in 10 minutes, they never rang back. Finally I rang for a 4th time and arranged for my vehicle to have 2 new tyres fitted and tracking done. I turn up at the prescribed time a week after my initial call to be told that my tyres hadn't been ordered. Avoid this useless business at all costs. I don't think they want the business. Very very poor, infact not even worth 1 star.
Excellent outfit, always use this garage, thought I needed new brake pads,so booked in,advised me that they were fine,no charge.
Turned up on time. Place was like the Marie Celeste until a chap came out the loo ten minutes later. He checked and said i wasnt booked in, which i did over the phone days ago. He looked at my tyres, which had gained 1mm since the dealership looked at them 10 days ago. I told him I thought I'd got a slow puncture and he said he could look but couldn't fix it. 20 mile wasted round trip Zero for customer service. Absolutely c@#p!!!! I could only post this if I'd put a star!
Went for my MOT effortless transaction and great service from the guys.. I'll be going back for some tires
