The team at Kwik fit in Gateshead have done an amazing job again. They’ve helped me out at very short notice with a flat tyre and helped me get back on the road for an important journey. The staff all knew what they were talking about and were happy to explain things in a way that I would understand. Thanks very much to Jack for his amazing customer service and his colleague didn’t get a name for carrying out the work. I would highly recommend. 5-star service!
I could not thank and recommend this Kwik Fit particularly Jack and Robbie enough. We had been visiting family over the weekend and were about to set off home to Leeds when we heard a loud snap going over a speed bump. The car was making awful noises when turning the wheel so being hesitant to go on the motorway with two young kids, we drove to the nearest garage Kwik fit on Durham road and met Robbie- who had a look for us straight away and knew instantly what had happened and advised it was best we did not travel until fixed. This was 14:45 on Sunday afternoon and they were shutting at 4pm with many other garages shut so it wasn't looking good for getting it fixed and being on our way. We waited for the supervisor Robbie to see what could be done, we were getting on for 3pm at this point. Fortunately he was really lovely and helpful and said it would take more than an hour but if he could get a part he'd fix it for us so we weren't stranded. Luckily his supplier had a part but would not deliver so he went out of his way himself to collect and started work straight away. It was a lot harder than anticipated and took them both until 5.30pm to fix it in the end no cutting corners to get the job finished may I add even though Jack had somewhere to be. Jack in particular was fantastic throughout and didn't show any regret in agreeing to help, keeping us updated, offering a drink and biscuits for the kids. We are eternally grateful to them both for helping us when most others would have said there was nothing they could do. We got home safe in the end albeit very late and only wish we had mechanics like Jack and Robbie next to us as we would 100% be going there for all our car needs.
The team, and especially Jack, were really helpful and really accommodating when I needed my tyre replaced. Jack was very professional and went the extra mile to help when I was struggling for time due to work commitments. I would highly recommend Kwik Fit on Durham Road.
My MOT failed and there was no technician available which I should have been notified of beforehand. I was then given 24hrs to fix my car to reassess the MOT for free. It is not possible to find somewhere to repair my car in such short notice - it should have been 24 working hours to give me a fair chance. I was then told I would be charged £22 for every day afterwards. This was false information. Its my understanding that I should have been charged 50% the overall price of my MOT and having paid £36 so the rate should have paid £18.
Customer service from Jack was on another level, he couldn’t do enough to keep me on the road! From repairing my original tyre to getting a replacement , he was prepared to go above and beyond. What a polite knowledgeable lad and a pleasure to deal with, I won’t hesitate to go back if I have any more tyre problems
Great service as usual from KwikFit on Durham Road. UCL was really helpful, excellent communication and sorted the problem with quick diagnostics and parts replacement. Happy with the service I received.

Had a great experience here recently - staff Connor and Jack were really efficient and friendly, sorted my car in less than a hour.
Asked them to order a replacement wheel for my van when i rang them as we have an account , they told me they couldn't order that, I knew they could, so went to my local quick fit Blyth and they did this without any problems.
My car developed a concerning noise with the steering/brakes. I called the garage with very short notice who had a look on the same day for me. Ross was able to fix my car there and then diagnosing the issue quickly and resolving. Excellent service, I intend to have all of my car maintenance carried out here!
