The appointment was initially scheduled for MOT+Servicing on a Saturday with another centre. That centre called me a couple weeks before my appointment saying their staff who could do MOT on Saturdays have resigned, so I could either re-book for a weekday, or I can move the appointment to another centre. I then moved it to Segensworth, and on 05-Oct, we brought the car in, and on the day, we were told the MOT staff in this centre cannot be here today. And there is nowhere else nearby that could perform an MOT on the day. We then had servicing done on Saturday, and I had to go in on the following Thursday 10-Oct for MOT. Prior to MOT, I specifically checked how long it would take as I have meetings scheduled. However, on the day, as I was waiting for the car, I was informed due to technical issues, all appointments are delayed by around 1hr. I do not know what kind of operations Kwik Fit is currently under, but this has been a more than ridiculous experience, never again.
Engineers are excellent and knowledgeable. Always explain what's going and very friendly. Prices excellent and service just as good if not better.
On arrival for service and MOT I was asked if there were any issues. I said yes and explained what it was. The young man said don't worry we can sort that for you.nWhen I collected my car it had failed the MOT on the exact issue I'd mentioned. Yet they'd done the MOT without resolving that very issue. The same young man told me it could only be fixed by a Vauxhall dealer. If he'd told me that in the first place, I'd have taken my car to Vauxhall.nSo I'm left with no car until its fixed and re MOT'd. The MOT is £25 if Kwikfit do it. £54 if Vauxhall do it. Plus I have to pay dealership prices to get the issue fixed. This, on top of the £200 service and MOT already paid in advance to Kwikfit. Not happy! Why MOT the car knowing it would fail?
I had four tyres replaced after ordering and booking on the website. The work was completed at the scheduled time, whilst I waited. I also had the wheel alignment corrected. The staff were friendly. Prices weren’t the cheapest but would definitely use again, for the convenience of being local.
Stopped in today to get a trailer tyre fixed as it had fully deflated and come away from the rim. The guys were straight on it and sorted it within 5 minutes. Re sealed, inflated and no charge. Very professional service and very friendly. Just gone online and booked to have all 4 tyres done on my car now. Great company and come very recommended A**
