Excellent service! The man himself looked after us nicely. We have a good talk,. He asked what we usually have to eat. And he made us something far better. Best patia I've ever had! Very calm atmosphere. The decor is gorgeous.. great parking. The food is a 10/10
Probably the best Indian food that I have had in Cambridge so far. The service was amazing and the food delicious. If you want to dine on a Saturday you are likely to need a reservation, but Sundays are less busy. They do not serve alcohol but you are allowed to bring your own. I’ll definitely be back.
Very close to our B and no B. Highly rated Indian restaurant. Bring your own booze. £3.25 for a small diet coke! Food is however lovely. Their take on a shepherds pie is delicious. I had the Staff Curry; a spicy chicken on the bone dish. Really good. 10% service charge. Main dishes about £15.
Absolutely superb restaurant. The staff are so friendly and welcoming as well as being attentive and efficient. The decor is lovely and the restaurant has a lively but chilled feel to it. The food was absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of the best meals I've had in Cambridge. This is a hidden jem and well worth a short trip out of the centre to visit. I love that it's BYOB too. Thank you for a lovely meal!
Had a lovely time here! The food is authentic and spicy and has a range of experimental dishes, enough to keep you coming back. Portion sizes are decent too and it’s great value for money! The owner gave us suggestions too which we appreciated a lot!
Went here last Friday and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really nice and was especially pleased to find a good biryani. Found the garlic naan to be a slightly doughy but the scotch style egg and green kebabs were very tasty. Unfortunately they ran out of gulab jamuns for dessert but will definitely be back to try some more dishes
I feel so grateful to have Taj tandoori in Cambridge. The one and only place that makes me happy! We ordered a variety of starters and they were all competing with one another: All 5 star, all fresh. I forgot to take pictures of mains….Besides the amazing food, the staff are professional, attentive and very warm-hearted. They have a really welcoming environment, beautiful design, don’t miss out because it’s a win-win. Prices are fair for what you get too.
The restaurant was amazing. Food is great, atmosphere is great. There was a delay in our order but the staff were very caring and apologized throughout. If I have to say one issue, it would probably be the floors. They were very slidey and as much as no one fell over when we were there, it could cause an issue at some point or maybe not, I'm not a builder. Would definitely come again
If you are thinking of going here stopping thinking and just go you will not be disappointed. The place, food and staff are superb. Had some great recommendations from the owner and they were amazing. Crispy Kale Chaat with the Chicken 65 wow like I could just eat this non stop. The wings and tamarind sauce were fantastic. Mains were also very good with a great asian take on the shepards pie and the Machli Bhuna if you fancy something other then chicken or meat. Food overload but really good food overload will be back her for sure. Thank you Julal for your recommendations keep doing what you do
Taj Tandoori is truly a special place for dining out or even ordering a takeaway. The food is exceptionally good and so is the service which is truly rare to find a establishment which has both. Syed and the team run a relaxed feel at home experience offering up great recommendations, which can steer you away from the typical just ordering what you have every time. So if you are a novice to the vibrant world of Indian cuisine or a spice expert you will definitely leave Taj feeling very fulfilled. Consistently delicious food with the warmest hospitality Taj is truly my family’s favourite restaurant.
