First time visiting; I found the place on Google and decided to stop in on my way home. The menu was delightful. Welsh rarebit was beautifully presented. Such a cosy environment too; I was extremely content after spending half an hour curled up with my book and mug of got chocolate. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent service, very child friendly and very clean! The food is comparable to top restaurants (better in some cases)! Everything we have eaten there has been amazing..cheese scones are best I've tasted! Highly recommend a visit 👌

UPDATE: November 2017. Recently taken over and renamed Knights By The Burn, by Gavin and Jenny. As the older review below shows, I was already impressed "by the Burn", and we've been here many times since it first opened in its previous incarnation and were looking forward to what Gavin and Jenny might do with the place. Sitting with a coffee, a steady stream of customers come and go, and on this visit with the last couple saying "their breakfast was amazing". I'd have to agree with that! Today's visit, we had a full English breakfast, eggs Benedict (with bacon), and a couple of nice and strong coffees. Everything cooked perfectly, and with the eggs, Gavin was trying out a new hollandaise sauce that was even better than what we've had before. The sourdough toast is very addictive as well, and just tops of the breakfast offering perfectly. Right now as I write, every table is taken, and there have been a couple of people waiting for a table... It's busy, very friendly, and all worth the wait. All told, it's a pity I can't rate Knights higher, as it really is brilliant. Updated photos to follow. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Fantastic little place, and right on my doorstep! Just the right size on the menus, and the location is great. No matter the time of year, it's a good place to call in whether on foot, cycling, car, bus or anything what. Wonderful addition to the village and well worth a visit.
