Avoid this like the plague. Very confusing payment system. The Ringo app in not reliable and the machines only take cash. I paid in full in cash and still got a fine of £60 They said I had underpaid, the machine had not registered all the cash I had entered into it. I appealed, just got a date stamped photograph of my car and told to pay up within 14 days or the fine would go up to £100.
Avoid this place. Like many others, I paid for my parking via the Ring Go App in 2 sessions. Total cost £2.90. They sent me one letter to say that I had not paid for any parking whatsoever. Even though they will have been able to see that parking was paid for on the Ringo Account. I contested the amount, and heard nothing at all. Last week I received a debt letter for £170. One hundred and seventy quid when I had legitimately paid the massive sum of £2.90 to park my car using their payment system. I have no option but to pay the fine, and try somehow to contest it. Absolute bunch of bandits.
Parked in their unmanned Watergate park - paid £1.70 got no ticket out but red button didn't return money so assumed payment recorded. Returned 35 mins. later. Two weeks later fine of £60 & threat to increase to £100 saying I had not paid. Theft - I paid them but their lousey system is fining me! Avoid this company at all costs. No telephone number to contact them either which is very suspicious. Use the local based parking authorities.
Please get into the 21st century. You can only pay by cash or Ringo that can’t understand a Scottish accent. The second star is for the attendant who was trying to sort out the queue of irate and frustrated customers. Be warned, if you have to use have plenty change and lots of patience.
Please avoid! They are smart in robbing money from you. My dad was fined when he parked. You have to know the 'exact moment' when you enter the car park. None of the machine would tell you how long you have parked for or the entry time. They only accept cash and no change would be given, and they call themselve smart without any contactless payment ps all car machine malfunctioning. Any other proper car park such as Q park would always tell you the time and price, but this one doesn't. Therefore, their smart system is only benefiting themselves to charge rediculous amount of money from you, not to make things clear or easy for customer. Lastly, save some time if you want to appeal, its clearly not gonna work. 0 Star : Happy parking else where.
AVOID THIS CAR PARK IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. Parking Machines in this car park do not tell you how much you need to pay for your parking period and also ask you to manually enter your registration, even though they employ ANPR cameras which timestamp entry and exit to the car park. Additionally there is no barrier at exit which checks you have paid the correct amount for the correct registation. My experience was that I underpaid by 11 minutes following a paid for 3-hour stay as did not know exact entry and exit time, and machines do not tell you and received a £100 parking charge. Their website claims they take a "common-sense" approach to fine appeals, when I appealed against this fine they decided to reject the appeal. I recommend you avoid these crooks, however if you MUST use this car park I recommend you over-pay for the time you need to be sure you don't receive a parking charge in the post.
Ive already reviewed this atrocious car park thats run by a company that generates 75% of revenue from fines need we say any more! They had over 40 other 1 star reviews but edited the business listing to remove them! So heres an image of my original review. Smart parking you are an utter disgrace, hopefully long overdue legislation will stop your scams! Untill then I urge people to not risk parking here.
This place is absolutely disgusting. Entered and paid for 2 cars to park. Have now received a parking fine for just one car??? Paid for exactly same time so they have clearly not got a clue what they doing.. Payment machines give 2 separate options so be extremely careful which you use as one is for kinnoul Street and one is for the multi. Absolute scam of a place and no one ever answers phones to discuss this.
This company is abhorrent. Listing that you can pay via both smart parking and Ringo, you pay by Ringo only to be fined by smart parking. The signs list a car park name that you search via the app - there's only one so you pay it! Then you get fined because you should know the only one listed is the wrong one... And it's clearly your fault the smart parking app wasn't working at the time. You appeal to popla who give you 2,000 characters whereas smart parking are allowed 4 pages of A4 - because that's clearly an unbiased system... Horrific way to treat people, then because you appealed your fine is doubled.
Agree with the below post. Absolutely shameful car park. If you pay by the app, one place comes up so you assume its correct. Which they then say is wrong. So even though you paid... Ita the wrong one. No point in appealing. As the t's & c's clearly showed its a no win. So smart parking. You got £60 out of me. But this isnt the last of it. When i stick some signs outside your multi story warning people of your tactics i reckon i can lose you £60 through lack of custom. I can deal with that then.

They are scammers I paid for my time still got a fine tried calling no where to call as the number to pay the fine doesn’t let you ??? So can’t ???kept saying if there was a prefix in front of your parking notice number press 2 which I did many times only to be cut off total joke never again avoid parking there as they are total twats !!! NOT SMART AT ALL !!!!!
