I had always used the same GP since I was born....so initially was abit apprehensive about finding and using a new one, After moving to Kingswood a few years ago Kingswood medical Centre was the one most accessible and I have been impressed with the service from all staff. Receptionists are friendly and helpful, nurses and GPs are professional and caring. What more could you ask for? Would recommend.
Most of the actual GPs /Nurses here are lovely, but if you're an unpaid carer you won't be supported here - find somewhere else. Always try to do econsults to be accessible, to be told off for not telling them my commitments for the next few weeks. Apparently just the week of the consult I put in on Monday is not enough. Try to explain my tricky situation to be greeted with little empathy or support. Getting to the point I cannot be bothered looking after my own health due to the hoops I have to jump through while working and caring to see a GP or nurse.
Have been trying to get through for hours ... Sounds like no one on reception at all - keep being told I am in a queue - it gets to number 1... and then nothing - just endless classical music and eventually ringing out. If there is no one to answer the phone just communicate that to people! I am resentful that I have been trying to get through to make an appointment for hours and there is probably no hope of speaking to anyone today!
I give zero this gp the dr here want the patients go in pharmacy after 3 months they don't given me my treatment the pharmacy said to go to gp they doing ping-pong they makes your life more complicated now they want you to go in pharmacy after a lots of waiting.
I can't praise this doctors surgery enough. Having had awful care at my previous GP surgery, I thought all would be the same. I moved to KHC years ago and haven't had a single negative experience. The care during the pandemic has been excellent, they have always offered a phone call and follow up face to face appointment if needed and I've felt every doctor or nurse has been very thorough. With the C19 vaccines, myself and my partner were invited for ours weeks before anyone else in our age range at other surgeries, the vaccine clinics were organised and smooth. I've never found the reception staff to be rude, just talk to people with respect and you generally get it back!
Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Poor conduct from practitioners: nurses diagnosing me with the wrong illness because they haven’t read my notes before speaking to me, doctors declining my prescriptions for life saving medication because they feel I don’t need it yet but not calling me to check in, blood being tested for the wrong thing, having a text to tell me there may be something wrong and I may need new treatment, have very little trust and confidence in this surgery and will be moving elsewhere.
Called up for an appointment for my husband two weeks ago. Phone was answered by a friendly voice, the gentleman took all of the details down of my husband's condition. He decided he needed to see a doctor and an appointment was booked for only two days after. Husband saw the doctor and was given good solid advice, improvement already in his leg and finally has a diagnosis for his foot.
I have waited on the phone for 30 mins to get an appointment about a bad chest pain, a sharp pain to my knee and a growth on my hand and was told i could only see a paramedic as there were no appointments left for a Doctor and only for one thing. Why do we pay for National insurance ??.
Wow this is the most rude receptionist Rachel I ever spoke on my life I don’t know how they let her work there shame of you My name is Albana zyberi Please feel free to contact me
I’ve always found the reception staff to be very rude and more recently, also feel incredibly let down by the medical staff too. Moving to a new surgery was the best decision I made.
