Really lovely hotel but to be truthful is ready for some investment. I did enjoy my stay as the staff are helpful and the rooms well tended. Just needs a face-lift

Lovely birthday lunch with a group of friends, in one of the smaller function rooms. Absolutely wonderful. Décor & set up very stylish, food excellent, service very prompt, friendly & personable. Will definitely be booking again.

Went as a Groupon Christmas gift. Faultless. Service in hotel and restaurant was fantastic and food amazing. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely bar/hotel. Have only ever been on special occasions. The staff are lovely.

The location is fine, the staff are friendly unfortunately on our visit, which had been arranged face to face earlier that week, 11 guests, a booking, which was known about, and suprise when the guests at 11am wanted a prediscussed brunch (egg, sausage, bacon etc). Lots of "the chef says it will take 20 minutes", "the chef's not happy" etc. There was an irony that it took about 20 minutes to find out what could be cooked (egg and bacon sandwiches) in which time the actual brunch could have been cooked. This might be a one off, I don't know, just make sure the staff convey the message to the chef..
