Nice pub, run by a friendly publican, beautiful beer garden and a good selection of lagers and ales.
Best pub in Cheddar by far. It's a pity though that so many pubs like this are owned by pub companies that seem to take advantage of their tenants goodwill and hard work.

Lovely country pub, away from the maddening crowd, with a very friendly bar chap looking after us. We ordered the pie and a pint, the pies are Pieminister Pies and didn’t disappoint! Absolutely delicious! Plus a couple of pints of real ale. Recently reopened, well done
We stopped for a few drinks in the morning, just before lunch. The place has outdoors tables, pool table, and inside tables, parking.

Fantastic and quirky pub. Really well laid out with good spaces for dogs or people that might need a bit of space. Very dog friendly. The food pie and mash only is outstandingly good with vegetarian and vegan options. If you're in cheddar and looking for a pub I'd highly recommend a visit!!
Such a lovely country pub. We were visiting cheddar for a few days holiday and the Kings Head was a great find! Nice beer garden, good selection of drinks. Really friendly atmosphere and staff were delightful. Dog friendly too. The pies on the menu looked great. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back - ideally in spring to see the wisteria out the front in full bloom!
