Got charged for one big and one medium coke, although we got two medium cokes... Pretty scammy and dodgy.
Went there last Thursday for food it was disgusting.. the soup was freezing and the rice was solid.. my mum went up for dessert. Got chocolate cake and went to use the pouring cream out the carton to see if was 11 days out of date. it was lumpy and off. We said to the boss which was really rude about it saying her staff forgot to check to dates.. environmental health need to visit this place is a disgrace and shouldn't be like that.. would never come back here again
The buffet here in the main is absolutely awful. Don,t let the cheap price fool you. There are a lot better Chinese buffets in Glasgow. The only redeeming thing was that the cake was good. The staff were pleasant enough.
I will rate them one star. Have been to this restaurant couple of times and have given them plenty benefit of doubt, but i can confirm now it is their way of doing things. If you like Chinese food because of prawn, this place is a no go place. They are fonds of keeping their prawn underneath a certain cabinet and will only put 5-6 pieces in the dishing bowl.if you request for, they will tell you they got nothing left, don’t understand why you called this restaurant a buffet place. Their glass cup are always dirty. The staff are extremely rude. Please stay away.
Terrible service, drinking glasses were covered in fingerprints. Complained and threatened to kick me out for drinking bottled water which I brought in with me. Before continuing to stare at me while I finished my meal obviously gossiping to other staff about me no other staff member seemed bothered about my drinking bottled water either. Food was look warm at best. And I payed 8 quid for this...
To be honest, the restaurant is great and much cheaper than other restaurants in Glasgow. I only went there for the £4.50 box because I ain't gonna pay more for a buffet, although the box itself is tiny. The staff's attitude is satisfactory but the food is quite delicious, though. I would recommend somewhere else for a buffet but it's a good option if you're really craving good Chinese food and you're near the restaurant.
I definitely won't be going back again. Half the trays were empty. Got served a warm 200ml bottle of Diet Coke which was flat with a glass where the ice was mostly melted. A lot of the food was cold and the staff stand around staring while you eat. Really disappointed this time around, used to go and have brilliant food but now I certainly won't be going back
I usually give praise where there is. But I don't think I can say anything good about this place. the variety of the buffet was minimal, the food was well below average, sauce was too watery and the food doesnt seem fresh, the service was quite poor, the staff have no manners. I also had food poisoning afterwards so I won't be returning unfortunately. EDIT: To Joshua Garrod who was having a dig at my review. I went there with my friend and asked for tap water but the waiter didn't bring it. We asked him twice and he still ignored our request so we had to ask someone else. If you have to ask several times it's not very good customer service. I went there for LUNCH and had food poisoning. I don't drink alcohol at that time of the day and had no other food that day so almost certain it's their food that gave me food poisoning. They are also only opened till 11pm so most of their trade won't be drunks, most of their trade will be lunchtime/evening. They're only opened as the food hygiene officer haven't found out yet. Also I've tried a lot of chinese places over the years to know if a sauce or watery or not. You either work for them or have been paid to write a review for them. I'll also elaborate on my point that staff had no manners, the boy was picking up the plates didn't even ask if we were done and just picked up the plates. And the woman who was at the front, we asked her if I could split my bill separately with my friend and she told us to sort it out ourselves. I'll let other folks decide if they think this is a good restaurant or not but I certainly won't back.
Stay away!!! Would not recommended atall!!!! Poor customer service Food was freezing & half cooked My parter asked for a pint the lady took a pint glass out the fridge poured the remaining drink out the glass and continued to fill it up with beer she then served a drink that was flat, we then asked for a fresh one got nothing but cheek of the woman and she never returned with a new drink! Plus she over charged him!!
This is the right place if you're hungry and already accustomized to Chinese buffet restaurants taste. The food is slightly better than the average cheap Chinese tier, and actually enjoyable. Variety and quantity is not an issue. The buffet trays are continuously replaced with new ones from the kitchen with a good choice of meat, vegetables and fish. We popped in yesterday around 7PM and had no problems finding a table for five quite immediately. The waitresses were kind and exchanged a bit of smalltalk with us before leaving. Ultimately the price for the evening buffet is about 8 £ 10, including a drink. I would personally consider to go back again another time, as the quality/quantity/price ratio is overall pretty good.
