Plenty of parking at a better price than some of the car parks closer to the Castle and Town. First lot of spaces marked in Blue are for short stay, the rest are for all day! - only a short 3-4 minute walk to the Castle. Spaces are wide and perfect for a day in Windsor!
2/01/2026.Large carpark. Can pay by Ringo App. Bit of a walk into shop area, but it's a slightly cheaper carpark.nAs of 2 Jan 2026 carpark was really dark no lights working , take a torch, otherwise you're walking back to car in dark and if you turn up in the dark you can see the payment machines.
Only payment method is by App as all the machines are now covered over. I felt really sorry for the elderly couple who were unable to pay as a result. Car parks need to accept cash or at the very least contactless payments to avoid this blatant age discrimination.
Danger - be warned - please read. Local thiefs targeting this car parknnBut be warned - cars are currently being broken into across Windsor Jan 2023 They are targeting cars with back packs etc. we were taking friends to the castle on the way to Heathrow airport. My car got broken into and 2 back packs stolen. This is in a very busy car park with CCTV. The police turned up 30 mins after we reported the crime!nnApart from the car theft this is a great location! 10 mins walk to the town and the castle. It’s gets very busy at school pick up and drop off times, as it near to Castle School.nnYou can pay on ringo. The only confusing thing is that there are signs saying you can only stop for 4 hrs max but the signage near the pay station stare rates above the 4hrs. Ringo also charge you £10 for the full day but if you stop as say 4hrs you only pay for 4 hrs.nnWe parked the car facing the road, which according to the police is in a cctv black spot. So park your car facing the fence. It’s safer and covered by cctv.nnWe were able to trace the backpacks to Atherton Court, Brocas Street, Eton - so the thieves are very local.nnI would advise paying on Ringo and downloading the app before you travel to avoid wasting time.
Plenty of space, 2 areas of parking - short and long term, penalties for parking in the wrong areas. Card payment makes it easy, £13 for the day, easy walk into centre of Windsor.
