When we had followed the brown signs to the museum we were greeted by a lovely man who told us the council had shut them down and they were closed. It looked interesting And all 9 of us where disappointed. If the council closed them they should have removed the signs. A tad annoying. Come on council work it out. !!
A great deal of work has been put into this facility. It presents a detailed and well presented history of the local iron and tinplate industry from start, through its heyday, to its demise.
Free entry, lots of interesting things to do with the local history. Helpful staff. Nice place to take a leisurely stroll around. Dogs welcome
Interesting day out. Even good for those taking a buggy along. Better to go when it's sunny as a lot of outdoor walking.
Pity it,s not open anymore.and I don't know why
