We had very little time from arriving in the area to our show at Royal Albert and found this on Google Maps. We called ahead as we were walking and ordered the vegetarian Pad Thai to eat in. The order was ready within a couple minutes of our arrival. Whilst simply presented, it was delicious. The owner was friendly and efficient. Whilst the restaurant was done up very low key, it did not detract from the tasty food nor the efficient and friendly service. In fact, reminded us of a typical Thai restaurant in Thailand. Price was reasonable and portion large. We would return.
To be honestI would like to give 3 and half stars. A small restaurant nearby for a quick dinnerwhich is really convenient. The taste of main dishes are not good enough.
Small hole in the wall place with good flavors and a very reasonable price. I came back after a year/ from the US for it.
An excellent unpretentious small restaurant which has been here for years. Food is simple, good and inexpensive. There is absolutely no spin about this place, and I like that. You get the kind of food you would get at a small restaurant in Thailand. If you want a flashy meal, waste your money elsewhere.
My go to place for a cheap Thai fix Price 5 star - Lunch deals during the week is 7.95 for two courses. Portions aren't as big as the main meals but it's South Ken! And green curry from the main meal is about 7 quid. Service 5 star - Service is polite and food is quick Taste 4 star - Not authentic as they tend to be sweeter but this probably is preference oriented
Excellent value Thai and plenty of choice if you dont like things too hot. In comparison with nearby Thai restaurants the portions are big and the prices low. One thing: the restaurant is shaped like a corridor and has lots of tables for two along the wall, but only one table suitable for a group, which is where five of us sat. It was a squeeze but worth it. They obviously have a lot of dating couples! They also do a lot of takeaways and deliveries.
2 course lunch menu. Starter two small vegetable rolls and a main course Thai green curry. Quick service, however the food was heated up in a microwave and portion like in a posh restaurant. Yes, launch menu is £7.50 and small beer £4 + service charge, but you can't compromise on a quality/quantity. If I knew I would not bother to visit it. Outdated place. Not coming back.
A great find on Gloucester Road - good value for money! The food is excellent, prompt and the service was top notch. You should call and a book a table in advance if your party is larger than 2 people as the restaurant is surprisingly small and there's only one table that can accommodate more than 2 people.
Potentially the most disgusting Thai meal I have ever eaten. Ordered it as a takeaway and felt violently ill after just a few bites of the Phad Thai. The dumplings were also extremely grim. If you're looking for a delicious Thai, try The Churchill and definitely avoid this place, it is vile.
Small place which is easy to miss. Not busy at all when I visited, which seems to be entirely undeserved as the food is delicious and the service is quick and attentive. Definitely not a posh place in terms of decor and design, but serves freshly-prepared, wonderfully flavorful food.
