worst. GPs. ever. the hostility you are faced with right off the bat from the reception staff is unreal. the level of detail they demand from you is frankly invasive. if i wanted to tell some who isn't a medic about my issue, I'd call the bloody Samaritans. they routinely attempt to derail you and refuse to acknowledge your requests. the way this practice has been replaced by a private company with an NHS contract is very clear. this is all about saving money by rejecting patients. it's no wonder you can't get an appointment most weeks - they basically refuse to give you one. this practice needs shut down and replaced.
I have suffered for years due to this practice with various issues. Complained to practice manager who was supposedly going to help and booked me an appointment with a woman named Sophie. Was promised at my last appointment that Sophie mental health nurse would book me another appointment and email the date to me. She never did and I have no way to contact her. Yet again I have been abandoned by those supposed to care. If you are reading this then thanks a lot Sophie, thanks for forgetting that I existed. Thanks for showing me that exactly what I was scared of being dropped when I started trusting you was not just a fear but my reality. I never want to hear a single one of you EVER tell someone that their fears are not true again. You are a liar. This is EXACTLY why I told you I didn’t want to start trusting you and I wish I had never attended and just suffered in silence. I hope you had fun spending months building my confidence and getting me comfortable coming to see you just to kick me in the teeth and abandon me.nn**EDIT - I assumed she was not getting the emails as I had no response for weeks hence the “no way to contact her” comment but she eventually responded and I was told that she just forgot. Still not good enough considering one of the main reasons I was going was due to abandonment and being forgotten about.
Handed in a prescription request on Friday. Popped in on Tuesday at half 2, to pick up the prescription, I was told they haven't been signed by the Doctor yet and to come back at 4. I popped back in at 20 past 4 and was told it would be tomorrow. I told them I need my meds for tonight. They then said they would have a Doctor to call when it's signed. They call me 15 minutes before they close. It's a 20 minute walk from my house.
Got to be one of the worste run practices in the country, receptionists are literally the rudest least understanding people ever who seem to believe they are drsnAnd apparently they can just randomly phone you and if you do not answer they mark it as a missed appointment and send a letter threatening to strike you off the practice register....nPlace is just a general discrace
This is BY FAR my worst experience with any GP in the UK. Reception staff has NO SOFT SKILLS at all, they treat you with indifference best case scenario. Once I called, the call dropped and they didn't even call me back after being 30 mins in a queue. Good luck finding a medical appointment. Been trying for WEEKS now
