I’ve used Kennet for roughly 5 or 6 months now for my electric van. I was somewhat worried after reading other reviews but I have a feeling most are more upset with the price of equipment they buy than the finance company itself. So far I would recommend. Yes my finance is extremely expensive but so is the overall price of the van so it is what it is. Tony was extremely helpful with obtaining the finance as I’m a new business with little to show for previous accounts. Financing and renting will forever be a more logical business practice and Kennet have helped me with that so overall I give it a high recommendation.
Been dealing with Kennet who were the ones to approach me since the beginning of October and its now the end of November regarding a cash advance loan. Been passes around by four different advisors only for them to ask for the same information again and again. After a while they stop communication even when you email them or leave voicemails. Poor customer experience.
I would not recommend this company at all and would try finance it some other way. Looking at all the other negative comments it looks like they have had the same issues too. I was led to believe that I was financing the equipment, not leasing the equipment. My starting figure was £3079 and after paying off over £600 my figure was actually higher than I started with at £3200. That means I have paid £600 in interest alone in only 6 month!! When I asked what the interest rate was they fed me with a load of rubbish to try and confuse you so you just pay it. Yes I signed the agreement and it is partly my fault as I should have asked more questions BUT you shouldn’t have to hide things and word things in a certain way to catch you out. It should just clearly state how much you are borrowing, how long the agreement is and what the interest rate is like any honest business would.
Took out a tool on finance, told I had to pay an extra £35 asset insurance to protect my asset incase anything should happen to it. I thought it sounded a bit excessive but it would be great if something happened my tool. I had an issue with my tool and phoned about warranty and I was told that it doesn’t cover problems with the tool. It’s only if it’s lost or stolen or damaged. But the tool doesn’t actually get replaced they just get the rest of payments paid off. So absolutely no benefit to me whatsoever. Better company’s our there without hidden fees.
Awesome service, helped us through the entire process. Great communication from Lindsey and the team. explained everything to us in detail before making the final decision . Recommend them to anyone looking at buying their next bit of equipment for their business.
Stay away!!!!!! We were made to take out their insurance on the equipment they financed. This was stollen and was told the insurance would cover the rest of the lease payments. To be then hownded 18 months later and be told we owe over £500 as a short fall on the settlement figure and we have to pay the vat on the balance too. What a joke. Stay clear!!!!!!!!!
Adrian worked absolute wonders for me! Not only did he get us a great rate on a significant asset purchase, but favourable early re-payment terms just incase, He managed to do it all after a phone call at 8:30am on a Friday morning, approved ready for payout the same day. Absolutely going to be working with Adrian and Kennet’s for the foreseeable future. Cannot thank them or recommend them enough!
I have used this company for 20 years and never had a problem with all my lease contracts. They have been helpful and courteous at all times and ensured I understood my contracts, and they have always ensured my needs were met. I would recommend them to anyone who has business needs and wants them satisfied with the minimum of delay.
I first come across this company when looking to expand my business, and have found them to be very helpful, efficient, informative and straight to the point. Gary in particular has been amazing, getting the job done and working with us to to get good, quick results. We are very happy with the outcome and the whole process was so quick and friendly from start to finish. Would recommend this company in a heartbeat.
Poor communication. Contradicting figures. Do your research before giving Kennet any details, they do not respect your information. There are a lot of leasing companies around who will give you a much more professional service.
