Not called Kebele any more. Staffed by volunteers, open to everyone and community focused. I have nothing but love for Base. Base is the place.
Kebele is a truly special place. It's non-commercial, democratic, and open for anyone to get involved. There's a bike workshop on a Wednesday for 12:30 to 16:30 where you can use specialist tools and get expert advice on how to fix your bike, all in return for a donation. They also sell spare parts, etc cheapie cheap. Most Sundays, 18:30 to 21:00, there's a vegan cafe, serving food prepared by volunteers. £2.50 for a main meal, and £1 for pudding, and sometimes there's seconds when the cooks make too much by accident. : Oh yeah, and they're always keen to take on volunteers for future cafes, so go along and ask whoever doles out your food if you can help next time. I may not own my home, I may not own my workplace, but I own Kebele, and so does everyone else who goes there.
