The Billiard room was quite a surprise old panelled walls and stained glass. Comfy armchairs and sofa. The other side is the main cafe with view of the lake. Quite busy and may be a bit of a wait. The coffee was nice. Toilets are really nice and clean.
Fantastic staff so kind and helpful we had two cream teas very nice will definitely go back the ladies could not have been nicer to my wife who was in her wheelchair. Parking: Great parking all disabled only Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access throughout for my wife’s wheelchair. Dietary restrictions: My wife has soy milk due to allergies the site caters for this
Possibly the worst cup of coffee I have ever had, tastes cheap, and like they have used 1/4 of a spoon, better off getting one from a vending machine. The mobile unit they had when the tea room was under construction made a decent coffee. Ended up chucking it away. Don't waste any money in the cafe, instead bring your own In a flask and enjoy the abbey.
Can be quite busy at times mainly due to everything else that's available to do around the Abbey grounds, the coffe is excellent what I have seen of the food looks to be quite a high standard the cafe is clean and tidy and has pub style benches outside all in all great cafe. The only issue is the available parking there should be double the amount and then it wouldn't still be enough.
When speaking with the majority of people that frequent kearsney abbey, it is a majority agreement that the new cafe has been a massive letdown especially as it took so long to open. It is a building that lacks character with mediocre food that is ridiculously overpriced . A large coffee is really a medium size cup and ends up tasting of the cheap cup that it comes in. 3.75 for beans on toast, behave! Everyone agrees that the food van that was in the car park prior to the café reopening was better value and the coffee and food was of a better quality.
Excellent service. We rocked up and asked for 2 mochas, absolutely delicious. We asked about flavoured teas and was shown a really good selection. The bread supply for the sandwiches has been changed , now much improved. Well worth a visit. Facilities clean and tidy . staff friendly and polite. We were served by Fay and Yaz.
Plodding & slow service, with mediocre produce. Need to get your act together for busy season,I had to wait 10 minutes for one thing, as the woman on the till had to figure out how to ring up a bacon sandwich which she got wrong. It’s not rocket science, it’s called customer service. Why can’t you train your team properly, & offer a wider range of food?
Stopped to have lunch on a lovely day at Kearney. The service at the cafe was dreadful getting orders wrong. I asked for cream with coffee which was on the menu but they didn't have any. The sandwiches brown and white were stale bread although they had the were in date but stale. Will not be visiting again.
Lovely and spacious café that allow dogs on leads in not a great choice of food but they do make things up fresh which is well worth the wait. Closes too early though 3pm
Fantastic baguettes/homemade cakes and fruit crumble slice/drinks/doggy treats which my dog absolutely loves.
