My mum and I went to visit Kathryn King to look for a 21st ring for myself and ended up designing one in the shop. Katherine was patient and allowed us to spend lots of time looking at stones, bringing forward lots of design suggestions and showing us lots of options. We took a long time to decide but she didn't rush the decision at all. In the end we ended up designing and choosing the very stones which went into the ring, which was a really personal experience. As a result I have a beautiful completely unique ring which I love. Thank you so much.

For my 21st my grandmother gave me a kathryn king bangle. Unfortunately I damaged it and so my grandmother dropped it off for repair. After 1 year of no response to communication I went to her shop (I live in Aberdeen) and asked for it back as is. She told me it would be ready the next day because it was in her other workshop. My grandmother and me visited the next day, upon which I was presented with a different, albeit it similarly designed bangle (it came as a part of a set so it should have matched). I was so fed up, I pretended to believe it was mine so as not to upset my grandmother, as she felt she failed in getting the bangle fixed quickly. But I am furious. She is happy to lie to her customers to avoid her own mistakes, and not make any attempt of accepting responsibility

I was happy to discover Kathryn's shop on one of our visits to Kirkcudbright some time ago.
I'd had an old wedding ring which had not coped with the strains of my physical job and had cracked.
 I replaced it with a lovely band Kathryn made in a rose gold. Suits my colouring, I love it.

Absolutely disgusted by Ms King. My partner had a very special engagement ring made for me by Katherine King. Not only is it bespoke, it features the heirloom diamond from my great grandmother's 100 year old engagement ring. Despite my partner allowing 10 weeks for the ring to be made (it says 4 - 6 weeks on the website) he was messed around and caused nothing by stress until he finally got the ring the day before his "deadline" for the proposal which didn't leave enough time to propose the way he planned. It was also made two and a half sizes smaller than he asked for it, despite him going in with the size written down. So I didn't get to wear it for the first few weeks of our engagement.

Then just a couple of months in the diamond, setting and all, snaps off while I was at work. Thankfully my workmate found it. When I went in to see Katherine King she was extremely flippant in her apology. I finally picked it back up today and was told "Well, these things happen." When I expressed my unhappiness that this happened at all, I merely got an attitude filled "I fixed it for you" and a sarcastic "bye bye" when I walked out in disgust. I'm now terrified of wearing my ring incase the diamond is not secure. It is irreplaceable and she knows that yet she was not apologetic, worried or even kind. I'm devastated by the tarnish this has put upon my engagement, and am glad I don't believe in signs else I would be calling off the wedding!

Customer service is appalling. Workmanship in this case is clearly under par. And all this from a very expensive jeweller. I'm disgusted and will never set foot in that shop again. I'd give no stars if that was allowed.
