Gem of a French deli/patisserie. Came in for a coffee which was terrific. Also tried the Basque Burnt Cheesecake which the very helpful and friendly staff recommended, and was glad I did as it was excellent. Will visit again!
There are a couple of places to get good sandwiches and cheese in Morningside. This place is great, friendly. The food is delicious and good value. Savoir faire.
Busy French patisserie at the corner of Maxwell Street. Big selection of cheese and pate, wine and other interesting similar foods. Coffee and cake was excellent but small cup of coffee and we had to wait as a customer put in a big order for a made up hamper. Not many tables.
Fabulous little cafe. Food was divine, so fresh, so tasty, reasonable priced. Relax. Karine and her assistant did a terrific job on a very busy Sunday lunch time during Corona Virus lockdown and it was well worth the short wait whilst they prepared our food to order. We loved it. Merci beaucoup!
Best pain au chocolat in the area, by a long way. They also have great cheeses such as reblechon.
Bought a quiche to take away and heat up at home. One of the lightest, crumbliest, best quiches I’ve had. What a treat.
Karine's is the most fabulous French deli. We get our coffees, meats, cheese and bread from here and are never disappointed. Our children are obsessed with the pastries and Macarons..heaven! Its like a little slice of France in Morningside and the owner and staff are a delight!
Best viennoiseries and French cheese in town. Keep going back. Karine's is very helpful and clearly passionate about what she sells! Great place for all things French without being over priced.
They probably serve the best sandwiches in the town - originally french made with superb cheese and baguette.
