We left a poor review after having a bad dinner here. Not recommending this restaurant for food, small portion and perhaps not what we expecting from a Chinese restaurant. We understand a lot of food needs to be precooked and frozen and we happily accepted this.  We tried to order some food and the staff also do not recommend us to go for it.  The owner of the shop replied us in very rude and sarcastic words. He asked to cook him and show him what is nice and authentic food.  They deleted the reply then and pretended they are so polite. I think the owner should at least apologize and admit that they did reply us in such a rude and unfriendly way.  Dear owner, I understand this pandemic is really hard and everyone suffers from it, not only you yourself, so please do not blame everything due to the pandemic.  Unable to upload all the reply he replied us but I do have the screenshot with me, not sure is it Google problem.

Great quality food but a bit pricey. First time ordering via Uber Eats.  We ordered two different dishes - one meat, one vegetarian. Roast Duck with chow mein, vegetarian crispy aromatic duck with pancakes and plum sauce. All very tasty and I had enough to finish the veg duck the following day.  My friend, with a bigger appetite would have liked a bigger portion size for the money We later saw that you can choose a larger portion if you pay extra.  The free prawn crackers, for orders over £20, were also lovely.  Total £28.49.

Good food and the location is classic. The lunch service was fast today. The waiting staff were friendly and accessible. Only complaint: if you're charging restaurant prices in a sit down restaurant, serve your courses on time. Mine was cold by the time my partners arrived and they were same dish. I'll definitely be back though, so keep up the good work Kam Tong!

Been to the Kam Tong many times and it never disappoints. Really friendly and accomodating  manager and staff. Great food and a lovely building lovingly redecorated during lockdown.  Also in a great location with plenty of parking and a view over the lake

Fantastic food. I’d heard good things and their veggie starter platter was out of control good. To be honest we didn’t even need it because the mains were so big. I had the Ho Fun noodles. After giving them a few mins to cool down, the flavour started to improve the longer I ate. They really started to come together. Will visit again and can’t wait to try more dishes!

What happened to this once wonderful restaurant? Prior to The Great Panic of the last 2yrs this was a go-to place. The menu use to have a variety of bespoke dishes, specials at the weekends and an excellent wine list. The menu is a glorified takeaway and the food all be it hot is dull. The wine appeared in one glass portions and my Coke in a can. All three courses arrived to far apart. All but one of the staff were wearing those ridiculous face nappies making communication ruddy difficult. You guessed, not a fan.

Been coming here since the late 1980s and a really great lunch here today, welcoming staff, allergies taken seriously and catered for. Food was perfectly cooked, tasty and plentiful. Wonderful surroundings next to the lake, clean restaurant.

Another fabulous takeaway delivered very promptly by a very polite and courteous gentleman. Food quality was superb, mixed starters, special rice and kung Po king prawns. Consistent good food and service...thank you!Food: 5/5

Had dinner there tonight very pleasant staff and had alot of gluten free options. We all really enjoyed the food maybe needs a touch more seasoning with the gluten free options but definitely would go here again.  Dietary restrictions: Good variety of gluten free options my daughter loved it maybe a bit more seasoning though

The service was excellent and the food was delicious especially the roast duck and Chinese leaf.we shall go again soon.Food: 5/5
