I took my car to Luke at KAM Belper and they were beyond helpful. I work full time so they offered a courtesy car and gave my car an MOT and service at a great price. I checked other places for a comparison beforehand and found KAM to be the best price by far. They offer a very professional and high quality service. Will definitely take my car here from now on. Thanks

Recently took my vehicle to KAM from a recommendation. I was a little skeptical at first from having bad experiences in the past. But my friend reassured me they were very good at what they do. My VW passat went in due to an engine management light being on as well as a reduction in power. Approximately an hour after dropping my vehicle off i received a phone call from the manager named Trevor, who explained my car was suffering with a blocked diesel particulate filter. I had scanned the internet the night before and a lot of people were having the same issues. He explained to me i had 3 options of repair and explained them all in clear detail and had full costings for each repair. There a was a quick and simple fix, He said was a forced regeneration. A more involved option, removing and cleaning the filter and the final option was a full replacement.
Under no circumstances did i feel pressured into having anything done. After our conversation we agreed to replace the filter as i rely on my car greatly for work.

Later that day i received a phone call to tell me my vehicle was ready for collection and all the work had been completed. When i arrived i asked to see the old part that were replaced, they did not hesitate to to show me them which gained my trust.
Much to my surprise they had also washed my car. 

I cannot praise this garage and mechanics enough, Very professional throughout.
I should also add, after the phone call i made a few calls myself to make sure i wasn't being ripped off. I am pleased to say they were the cheapest garage around the local area.

As a person with qualifications in motor vehicle maintenance level 2 and 3 I know a thing or five about cars. I studied a long time ago, mind, and never went into trade so I know my limits. I am now studying and cannot really work on my own car. I have used KAM before about four times and discovered them when I ordered tyres via Black Circles. Along with my studies I deliver takeaway so I am reliant on my car. My car started lurching/kangarooing when pulling off and when braking. I suspected an auto gearbox issue in my little R reg. I took it to KAM and asked PURELY FOR DIAGNOSIS which was something like £45+ VAT. I said my CVT fluid hadn't been checked in a while so could they CHECK please and not top it up. I just wanted a mechanic to drive it half a mile and tell me what the issue was and then I'd make a decision regarding repair. They rang me and told me they topped up the CVT fluid and it's not driving any better - when my husband drove it back from KAM he said it was worse than it was before AND they had charged £45 + £50 for the top up I specifically refused in advance. My car may not be worth much but it was my first car, my transport and very reliable and cheap to run for four years and I feel like it's been treated with disrespect and so have I as a loyal customer. I won't be going again and I've contacted the Good Garage Scheme. I sincerely hope they think again before doing this to someone else. When you're a student that extra £50 is damn hard to pull out of thin air. I'm still upset about it. They've lost a customer. I wouldn't be surprised if they used the wrong fluid for my type of auto gearbox, either.
