The majority of the stores have closed down. Very little there at the moment.
I used to like coming here. There were a small number of interesting shops, the outlet itself and a nice cafe. Nowadays, they have tried to make the place a little more upmarket and there seems to be a growing number of empty units as a result. The cafe has been replaced by a homogenous Costa and an Italian style sandwich shop that is expensive and poor value in my opinion. Only half of the underground car parking is now available due to drainage problems, apparently. Seems to be dying a death, I'm afraid.
Used to be really good until it was redeveloped. Many of the shops have closed since the development. Cheapest parking in Kendal at £1 for 4 hours, and it's free during the run up to Xmas. Could be a brilliant, hopefully as the future unfolds it will be again...
It's a real shame this place has gone downhill as more and more retailers have suffered and closed. A cafe, Costa and Clarks are the only ones left. But the owners don't appear to even be trying. Maybe making enough money from flats? 2 stars though because 4hr parking is only £1. But 4 to 5hrs is £5 so be careful.
Visited Terrazzo restaurant whilst in K Village which was as good for cake and coffee as ever. As for the rest of the outlet centre, well there isn't much left of it. Apart from a couple of shops selling luggage and kitchen ware, plus Costa Coffee every other shop has either closed down or moved into town. One of the remaining two shops is also closing down. A great shame, pity they hadn't left it as it was a thriving place in its day with many coaches calling in. Now you don't see hardly any stopping. Very sad.
Haven’t been for about ten years. Called in at 17:25 as it said it was open until 1800 and nothing was open there were just empty disused shops apart from Clark’s which was closing. We then had to pay for parking as the barrier was down and no one answered the parking intercom or contact numbers. Trapping customers and making them pay parking must be the main source of revenue for this place. We’ll not be back.
Parking is cheap and you can easily walk into the town centre from here. It is a 10min walk but it's not that far. The outlet itself is undergoing refurbishment and only presently has a coffee shop, Clarks shoes and a fitness centre all the other shops are empty. The development will start in 2019 with appartments and shops etc. Will be a good place to shop once it starts to fill with shops again.
Souless. Shops non-existent as all bar a few have closed down. Come on SLDC, close the place down, attract some big names now that it's not purely 'Outlet' status and have a Grand Opening with continued quality publicity. Oh, and make the parking free for at least 4 hours...where else do you pay for parking at out of town retail parks???
It does seem like a bit of a mausoleum to shops and brands that have long since abandoned k-village. The shoes at the factory outlet did not seem to be particularly heavily discounted, I suspect on having to pay the lion's share of the building rent! There were some useful offers in-store but it's success is a shadow of 15/20 years ago.
Good facilities in a great location. Only failing is a lack of shops. Less than 10 units open, 3 of which are shoe shops and 2 are cafes/restaurants. Needs an incentive to bring new traders to the centre.
