I hosted a small event here and the staff, service, food and atmosphere was just perfect! I couldn’t have found a better place. Lovely unique theme and decorations and friendly customer serviceFood: 5/5
Fresh and homemade selection with their afternoon tea. A wide tea selection on their menu available for take away as well as whilst dining. I did book in advance using a voucher and would definitely return. The scones were incredible, we were given an option from the cakes and we're happy with what we picked. Not very large so if a big group definitely book in advance. Have locally knitted / crocheted blankets incase you get cold whilst here.
What a huge choice of loose leaf teas! I tried the masala chai - spicy, aromatic with ginger, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon and red rose petals. Very good tea! Pleasant service and with a smile. There was no homemade soup on the day I visited, so I opted for a cream cheese and cucumber sandwich. It came with salad and crisps and was good. Had the homemade cherry and almond cake and it was very yum. Café has some extra seating outside in the arcade. Groovy loo that has been papered with pages from original mags from the 60's.
My daughter & I called here recently for afternoon tea. It consisted of lovely sandwiches I'm a fussy vegetarian & this wasn't a problem providing me with sandwiches I liked / was able to eat a lovely selection of cakes & a beautiful scone. I don't like tea & I was allowed 1 bottled drink. There was plenty of food & we were certainly full afterwards. The lady working was very pleasant & accommodating. Nice music fitting with the venue playing at all times. I'd definitely recommend dining here.
We had a gorgeous afternoon tea at the tearoom! A few of us had allergy requirements and it was easy to book and not a problem at all for cake, scones or sandwiches. We can't wait to return! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free and egg free all catered for and delicious!
Did the bottomless afternoon tea here last Saturday 27th July and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is lovely and the music/decor is great. The lady who served us not sure on her name! was really friendly and attentive. The afternoon tea was also great. Will definitely return in the near future! Really enjoyable experienceFood: 5/5
Came with a group for a friends birthday. Service was honestly terrible. At one point the last in our party arrived, asked for more water glasses and the waitress defensively said there were enough. There weren't. Asked for more several times and they never appeared. They were really helpful meeting a big range of dietary requirements but the quality of some of these could have been better for the price- either do quality substitutes or don't do them at all. For example dairy cream was lovely clotted cream, dairy free looked like a squirty cream. There are a fair few decent dairy free cream. The regular cakes looked like lush homemade ones, dairy free shop bought macaroons, baclava, cake few days old dry feel ‍ Mostly the service was pretty grudging. Bottomless drinks mean nothing if you're never offered a refill. It was a roasting day and every time we asked for more water felt like an imposition. No light in the bathroom either still. Also no high chair ‍ Had a lovely time because of the company but don't recommend the venue at all. Dietary restrictions: Very organised with dietary restrictions
A cute vintage tea room inside the Grand Arcade in Leeds ORDERED: *Scone with cream and jam * Tropical green tea * Kinder Bueno Milkshake REVIEW: The idea was to try their afternoon tea but we were not very hungry so ordered only a scone and drinks The scone was so good! You could taste their freshness! Good quality clothed cream makes also a huge difference. Their scones are homemade They have many teas available so it was hard to pick one! But we were pleased with the one we picked because it was full of flavour. We didn't like the milkshake, it was too liquid and didn't have that much flavour, but we could feel the kinder Bueno! Anyway, this is a tea room why did we order a milkshake? Clearly our fault The cakes on the counter looked really good! Loved the miss-match teapots and saucers, tablecloths, and throws! The lady working there is super lovely! They have afternoon tea for kids, gluten-free sandwiches, soup, and cakes
Fantastic independent tearoom. Celebrated a birthday there as Mrs M wanted to visit and it did not disappoint. We’ll be back!!Food: 5/5
