Been here many times when visiting friends in Congleton, friendly feel to the place and a great selection of Joules beers on offer.
Very nice bar. Would recommend visiting for the excellent beers. The interior and outside seating areas are really nicely decorated and clean. They don't do food.
Called in on the Jubilee weekend and it was reasonably busy. Ale was ok, wife did not like the wine…hey ho. Nice beer garden at the back with an interesting view of the derelict Methodist church.
This is a pub to be wary of. I walked in feeling fine, but on leaving, my legs felt wobbly and the whole planet seemed unstable. I can't remember what I drank, but it was dark and lovely. Perhaps I was suffering from dehydration and should have drunk a little more. I do recall the food being remarkably well priced, the decor and ambiance is quite eclectic, but is very homely. I will definitely go again.
Great Joules Brewery Pub in Congleton, with a genuine Royal connection!
Excellent, Boxing Day visit. Great service, nothing too much trouble, especially making my wife cups of tea all afternoon. Happy New Year.
Really nice pub with an outdoor area. Great session IPA.
Overall disappointing Pub..High price for an average Beer in a town where you can get the same or better for half the price..No wonder Pubs are closing
A great little pub, the landlord and landlady are using interesting and fun ways to make coming here a pleasure. Tonight was Cheese Night which was great. Go and find out, take some cheese and see if yours wins the people's vote. The beer is top quality too. Well done guys
Great little pub in the centre of Congleton. Owned by Joules brewery amd serves a wide range of their beers. Also a selection of gins. Friendly atmosphere. There is an outside seating area and they fo lunches on Sundays. The cheese evening sounds fun
